Overall we loved this house and the property is absolutely gorgeous. The house sits on top on a hill and has a view of the ocean. There are a couple of other houses that are also visible nearby but are on separate properties. The house does not have a/c but we were fine with the …

Remote and quiet and yet close to all services. Great location for exploring the East Side of the Big Island. Our first time at this lovely property and we would love to come back! Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful home in a gorgeous setting and extremely private and quiet. Wonderful to have the sounds of the waterfall and the birds all around you. A car is necessary for this property, but we loved the location since it was not far from Hilo, but yet secluded and quiet. …

The house itself was beautiful with a waterfall outside. The property was right next to the Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden. It was also a quick drive to downtown Hilo. The only downsides were the many bugs and lack of AC.

Response from Hawaii:
Mahalo for your review, Maggie! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Insects love the tropics even more than humans do, and even though all of our rentals are professionally treated for pests, you'll still encounter some bugs when you visit the windward sides of the islands. We have high temps that average 82 degrees year round, so most folks don't find A/C to be necessary. Opening the windows and turning on the ceiling fans usually keeps things very comfortable. Mahalo again for staying with us, and we hope you'll keep us in mind should you return one day!!

It's a very lovely property and is in a very private place. Other properties in the neighborhood are not as well maintained as the listing property, but they are far enough to not be an issue. It's like living in the forest and there's a stream at the backyard. Inside the house, …
