A good location in a walkable distance from the metro, Kyoto station and relatively close to Nijo castle and Gion.

I loved staying here. The host is very kind and has all sorts of suggestions for things to do. He even introduced me to one of his friends so I could get my own kimono, and I found the perfect one for me! My experience here was very welcoming and I would definitely enjoy staying here again in the future.

Thanks for your staying at our Kyoto Global House. She came from the USA, and she is so nice & friendly student, and is interested in Japanese culture, so I took her to have meals, and Kimono Shops, and Silk Screen Printing Co. She wear a nice & beautiful Kimono, she loved them and bought such kmono. We keep in tough with her & come to here again. See you again.

We went to Kyoto in December. Which is really super cold, so be sure to pack some warm clothes. Since Japanese houses are traditionally not as isolated, as houses in Germany, they also get really cold overnight, so, in the morning be aware. As for our stay in global house. We went from Kyoto station by taxi and our host guided the taxi driver by phone. When we arrived, we had a small Christmas Dinner with the organizers of the global house and it was really lovely and felt at home. It is almost a little sad that we were out of the house all day for sightseeing, so the interaction with our host was just very brief after that lovely Christmas Dinner. One evening we arrived much later than expected and our host was already worried about us. The room we stayed in (we were three) had enough closet space to put all our luggage in. We even had a small space where we could dry our towels. Bath and small towels were provided. And in the bathroom there was also shampoo, rinse and body soap, so it is not necessary to carry any of these with you. Our room was clean, but don't expect it to be cleaned during your stay. I don't expect this, since it is AirBNB and not a hotel, but sometimes I read bad reviews because of this. The bathroom was clean, and to make it a little warm there was a small heater in it. (Here as well, no central heating in Japanese Bathrooms) Overall, a very nice house in a nice and quiet neighborhood in Kyoto. It is possible to walk to Kyoto station and the next subway station is also not too far. A few minutes away is a supermarket and several convienience stores. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

We had a nice family, and enjoyed having our X'mas Party with us. They were friendly and easy to talk with them. We hoped they had some new experience, staying Japanese house, sleeping on futons & eating Japanese foods, Nabe, Yakitori & Nuddles. Thanks for choosing & staying with us. Keep in touch each other. Keep in touch with each other.

Very nice location and place to stay. Supermarket and convenience stores around, a lot of food chain store near the subway station, several bus stops and subway is just 5 minutes walk, even JR railway station is just 15 minutes walk! Also 5 minutes to laundry store, it very good to stay here! The con is that there is only a bathroom available but if you spend most time outside that should not be big problem to you. We have a very nice stay here!

A bit' difficult to reach from Kyoto's train station, though is distant only 15 minutes by walk. Discrict is typical residential and very quiet. House is quite small but spaces are well organized. The position of this airbnb is perfect if you want to visit almost all districts. Higher room is quite small for 3 guests and not suggested to dust allergic :/ Kohei is a very hospitable and kind host.
