The Barn has a "retro/rustic/bunk house character" with exposed beams some dating from the Napoleonic Wars. It has two bedrooms (one with a double bed and the other has two single beds of which one is on long legs!), both have en-suite wet rooms and lead off the large living/play area. Sheets and towels are included. The kitchen area in the main room comprises an electric cooker, butler's sink, microwave, refrigerator with small freezer section, kettle and toaster, utensils and crockery. Complimentary beverages, breakfast cereals, eggs mostly from our own hens, homemade bread, jam and cake, milk and bacon are provided to kick start your stay. There is a full size table tennis table and bar football for the young at heart! The sitting area is around a cast iron wood burning stove has a digital TV with SKY and an Ikea sofa which makes up into a full size single bed. Background heating is provided by a state of the art computer controlled electric panel system and there are panels in each bedroom. Off street parking is on the shared pebbled yard next to the Barn. The Barn is accessed via a shared drive with the main house in which the hosts live. The drive has large metal gates separating it from the public park (Redland Green) over which there is a tarmacked access road leading from Redland Green Road. There is a children's play area near the house.

Redland Green Farm is in a sylvan setting but is only one mile from the city centre and has good bus and train links with the main line stations. There are numerous eating and drinking establishments, shops and amenities within walking distance either on the Gloucester Road, Whiteladies Road, Cabot Circus, Broadmead, and Clifton.

Guest have access to the garden.

The hosts live in the main house on site and they (or their house sitter) are around to help with any queries.

There is parking in the yard right next to the Barn for one car. The number 8 and 9 bus stops on Redland Road at the end of the Green links to Bristol Centre, Temple Meads railway station and Clifton village. A 10 minute walk takes you to either the Gloucester Road or Whiteladies Road with many more buses to choose from.

Due to the rustic nature (including wooden beams, stained and sealed wood panelling) of the Barn it has many nooks and crannies which harbour the odd bit of dust, despite our best efforts to keep it spick and span!

This was a great place to stay to explore Bristol as a family. The Barn was cosy and quirky. Lois and her husband were very welcoming.

Lois's B&B barn was perfect for our needs. I was looking for a base to explore Bristol with my 13 yr old son. Located 5 mins drive from the city centre (I would have enjoyed the walk but my teen would have complained the whole way!), in a quiet spot with a good pub/restaurant close by. Table football was a big hit. Fruit, milk, and fresh homemade bread were much appreciated. Comfortable, clean beds. Lois was very friendly and happy to help.

Another great stay in The Barn with my daughters. Lois and Paul are great hosts making The Barn our home away from home for my gurl's and I. Looking forward to our stay in April.

Unique location, an oasis in the park, yet in the middle of Bristol. The Barn is also unique - great fun, hosts charming and provide lovely breakfast and tea goodies.

Hi, my husband and I have lived in Bristol for 35 years and are able to advise on local facilities and recommend places of interest for you to visit. We are widely travelled and have an appreciation of home from home comforts. We have brought up our two children here while working and renovating this idyllic retreat. We welcome you to join us in this unusual sylvan setting and welcome suggestions to make your stay even more comfortable.
