A large one bedroom apartment, which cleverly combines a rustic feel with wooden ceilings, volcanic stone fireplace with a modern bathroom & kitchen. Spectacular sea views from inside the living areas & from the large south facing rustic sun terrace.

The space

Very spacious one bedroom Canarian villa with large bedroom overlooking a small garden area, modern bathroom with walk in shower, and large modern well equipped kitchen, plus very large open plan sitting room area and dining area. The dining table has fixed Canarian seating plus 4 individual chairs. The extremely spacious living area has 2 sets of French doors which lead out on to a large south facing terrace. The magnificent and very relaxing sea views can therefore be enjoyed from inside the living areas, as well as on the outside sun terrace.

The French doors frame the lush green garden with the uninterrupted sea views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Femes mountains beyond! The view is almost like looking at a holiday poster of the beautiful blue Atlantic ocean!

The location offers a high level of privacy and peace, and yet the villa is only a short walk away to Tias centre where you will find everything you need. For this reason a hire car is not essential, plus there is an extremely good and cheap bus service almost on "the doorstep!"

This apartment comfortably sleeps up to 2 people in the large & comfortable double bed.

The bedroom has a comfortable new double bed, sliding double wardrobe, large set of drawers and bedside tables with lamps.
A mosquitoe net is also installed above the bed for guests' convenience.

The kitchen is well equipped, with electric cooker, gas hob, a large fridge/freezer, microwave and oven ware, pans/utensils etc. So you can really feel at home.

The sitting room has two very comfortable reclining armchairs with foot rests, so guests can just lie back and enjoy the 32" flat screen TV, or watch a good DVD with a glass of local wine! English channels available.

Last, but not least our resident cat Georgie comes with this property if I am away, and he would need feeding please as well as making a fuss of occasionally! He is a very well behaved cat, but does like some human contact occasionally and many guests do make a big fuss of him.

Georgie is a very sociable cat, and very popular with many guests, and may visit you even if I am at home!

However, if you do not like cats or have an allergy then please mention this when making an enquiry or booking, and we will do our utmost to ensure that Georgie does not disturb you!

Thank you in advance!

Guest access

Guests will have access to the garden, complimentary WIFI Included, plus direct internet connection.

A laundry service can be provided. There is an iron/ironing board and an outside airer for drying clothes.

Your host will try to provide you with anything (within reason) that you require, which is not available in the apartment.

Interaction with guests

Guests will be met by Vicki or her manager in her absence, usually on the first day or the following day, and particularly when the arrival time is late.

Vicki, or in her absence her manager are always available via a mobile telephone, and/or email.

The guest has the opportunity to discuss anything minor with the cleaner when the apartment is mini- cleaned, (Usually on a bi-weekly basis) and she will pass this information on to Vicki if required.
More frequent cleaning can be requested and paid for at the normal rate.

Regarding cleaning: Guests are politely requested to vacate the apartment on the days the cleaner visits, so that she can do her work safely, without any danger of guests injuring themselves due to wet floors etc.

Guests will see as much, or as little as they wish of their host! For the most part guests do not see their host unless there is a problem or to say a friendly 'hello' in passing.

Other things to note

A clean second set of bed linen and towels will be provided. Guests are requested to launder their towels, but bed linen will be taken away by the cleaner for laundering.
A washing machine is provided in the kitchen and there is also a clothes airer, to dry clothes on the outside terrace.

Georgie is our resident cat, a castrated stray who insisted on adopting us 7 years ago! Whilst he is very friendly, (although quite independent) he will not usually visit guests unless they like him and encourage him to visit. He is very popular with many of our guests and does not seem to cause any problems at all.

N.B. Georgie does not like to have his stomach, or the lower end of his back touched. So please be aware as he may scratch if guests do this!

However, In the unlikely event that Georgie should cause a problem with a guest, then the host should be notified.

I loved everything about my stay in El Nido. Vicki and Juan Pedro did everything possible and then some to make me feel welcome and at home, and any issue they fixed as soon as humanly possible, and nothing was too much trouble. They even put up with my crafty needs and me using the poor dining room table for crafting at all times, lol. I arrived to find Vicki there to welcome me, food in the fridge and a very nice bottle of welcome-wine. Nice clean house! Me and Georgie the cat (he's the permanent recident in El Nido) we got along very well and I absolutely loved his company, and miss him very much already. The house is very charming, cozy and you have all you need for a super nice stay. Just bewarned. The view might steal entire days from your trip, as no picture does it justice. I spent many days with a cup of tea or coffee, just staring mindlessly out on the fantastic view, relaxing completely.. Which was just what I needed! I should also mention the place is very isolated from most noise, you barely ever hear your neighbors, only the traffic in the far distance, but closing the doors will shut out that sound if you don't like it. Tías is a very cute town and easy to explore. I highly recommend the tuna steak in the La Ermita, and the omelette-ish dish they got in La Esquina further up in Town. (Please forgive me if I mixed the two names up) And La Luna is a lovely bar, and all 3 places cater for glutenfree needs and are very nice and professional. Takes 10-15 minutes to stroll up into the town, 10 minutes to walk home. Buses are easily accessed from the main road, and nice easy and nice priced bus system. Thank you so so much for everything. I will be back, miss the house, the cat and my lovely host!

I spent a wonderful month at El Nido in Lanzarote. It was my first time to the island so I was not sure what to expect. The apartment is pretty standard from what I've seen on the island. It has an absolutely gorgeous view of the sea from the patio and a lovely garden which is well maintained. The apartment has everything you would need and is very clean which is a must for me. There is a flat screen TV with lots of movies and program options. Vicki was very helpful and was available if something was needed. The bus stop and the downtown area is approximately ten minutes from the apartment which I found to be a nice walk. If I were to return I think I would rent a car as it is much easier to get around the island. There are so many wonderful restaurants to try and places to visit. If you are looking for a quiet get away this is a lovely spot and I would highly recommend it.

I spent the month of June at El Nido. El Nido (and Vicki's gracious hosting) provided exactly the peace, quiet, and relaxation for which I was looking. Tias is a quiet town, a 10 minute easy-to-access bus ride from the more touristy resort Puerto del Carmen, and El Nido is even quieter, being removed from the small Tias town center. Sometimes the only noise was the wind (which can occasionally be strong!). I spent most of the afternoons sunbathing in a deck chair on the back terrace with its view of the ocean. The grocery stores are a 10-15 minute walk from the house, the El Nido kitchen is equipped with the basics to cook your own meals, and there is wi-fi available for an additional reasonable fee. Vicki was incredibly helpful, both before my arrival (answering questions and providing resources promptly via email) and during my stay (she was available if I needed her but always gave me privacy and space). I also took Vicki up on the airport transport service. She arranged for me to be picked up and dropped off from the airport by a someone who knows exactly where El Nido is (and took me by the grocery store to stock up on supplies when I arrived!), very convenient. I strongly recommend El Nido, or Vicki's other listings (they are all next to each other) for anyone looking for a comfortable place for a getaway, or as a home base from which to explore Lanzarote. Thank you, Vicki!

Just back from a lovely holiday in Lanzarote. Vicki was very helpful and always at the end of an e mail or around in person to help with anything. Apartment was perfect. Kitchen had everything you need. I cooked everyday. Felt homely as well which was nice. Great outdoor space sheltered from the northerly winds, little sun trap. Spent a lot of time on the lounger watching the sun pass by. I was cycling a lot and there are some great little/big routes out of Tias. If your out cycling and you'd like some tips on routes give me a shout on Strava (Os Zundi). Vicki was fine with having the bike there. Tias itself is a small quiet town above Puerto del Carmen. Some great little restaurants and cafes. L'Ermita is a favourite for a couple of drinks and some tapas. Great supermarkets with everything you could want.

Vicki User ProfileVicki is a superhost.

I am an extremely young 50+ year old, with a passion for life and adventure.

I relocated to Lanzarote in 1999, and bought my beautiful property which nestles on a quiet hill top in 2002. I spent time renovating, and bringing the property up to its current condition with a view to renting it out to discerning holiday makers.

Both my apartments, and the villa with pool will appeal to those who seek quality, privacy, value for money, plus the uniquely beautiful & peaceful location with its spectacular uninterrupted sea views!

I love nature, all animals & especially my stray cat Georgie who adopted me 5 years ago - he is very friendly and very popular with many of my guests!

I also love to travel and meet new people, and experience different cultures, & learn new languages. (Well try to!) I visited the north east of Brazil in 2011, and loved every minute! I have also visited, South Africa, India, Egypt and many other places.
The next destination on my 'Wish List' is South East Asia, hopefully 2014!
This year I will spend 3 weeks in Andalucia, and also visit my English friend who lives there.

I like to write and read poetry, and find inspiration from everyday things and situations. I also love being around children, and have taught Spanish children English. My eventual plan is to do some voluntary work abroad, using my nursing skills, teaching skills, and any others I may have acquired along my life's path.

Food and drink are very important to me, and more so when I socialize & share these with friends and sometimes holiday guests. I enjoy eating everything, but especially love sea food and tropical fruits.

The 5 things I cannot live with out are:

1. My friends & family - Including my lovely cat!
2. My internet connection for my business and social contacts
3. Contact with children - they always lift my spiri
4. A comfortable bed as I am useless without my 8 hours sleep!
5. All the normal personal hygiene things, shower, hair conditioner, tooth paste etc. (Boring I know!)

I have been told by my guests that I offer excellent customer service. I pride myself on replying promptly to email enquiries, and going the extra mile when necessary for my holiday guests.

I am also a very considerate, and easy to please guest. I like to explore independently, and love to use the public transport as I find this is a good way to meet local people and pick up the local language.

My mottos are: "Life is short, so try to enjoy & learn from every moment"
"Treat people how you would like to be treated"
