We found it a little tricky to find, but well worth it! We were made very welcome and the room was lovely, the location brilliant for wildlife watchers, and the host was very helpful. We hope to return

First class bed and breakfast, steeped in peace and tranquility amongst wildlife where we regularly saw deer and highland cows from our bedroom window and even a white-tailed sea eagle. Beautiful and spacious room with en-suite. Very large bed, tv, books, maps, a large well-stocked tray with tea and coffee making facilities, fresh milk was provided by Jen and Mike. Freshly baking was left in our room daily which was a welcome treat when we returned from our day trips around the island. Breakfast is served in the room, a menu is issued each day to complete for the following morning's breakfast, a wide selection of home-made items including the very tasty granola, home-made bread and eggs from the owners chickens, gorgeous! Jen and Mike very knowledgable and helpful on the local area and places to eat in the evening. Each morning guests are asked to depart for the day by 10am for a few hours so that the owners can service the room. There is a no-shoe policy in the house, guests can leave shoes in the front porch area. Jen and Mike have 4 well-behaved dogs which are kept away from guests unless you wish to meet them. Both my partner and I thoroughly recommend staying here at High Oatfield, we will definitely return on our next trip to Mull. Perfect hosts, perfect accommodation.

We had a fantastic time staying here. Jen and Mike are lovely and the room large and comfy. Can have breakfast spotting eagles and watching highland cattle in the neighbouring field! Location is peaceful yet not too far from the main road so it is easy to travel around.

Prior communication with Jen and directions to High Oatfield were spot on. We contacted Jen when we were on the ferry for some suggestions for things to do that afternoon and she came back to us virtually immediately. Both Jen and Mike were welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious and spotless. Breakfast, which was delivered to your room, was varied and plentiful with home made bread, cereal, fruit, boiled eggs, etc. Lemon cake in the afternoon was an added bonus. High Oatfield is isolated and therefore beautifully quiet. If you like to get away from it all this is the place for you.

We had a wonderful stay at High Oatfield. Jen and Mike were really helpful and welcoming hosts. Mull is a very special place and this was an ideal base to explore from, although in terms of the wild life ( eagles, dolphins etc) they are all literally on the doorstep. This is one of the best BandBs I've ever stayed in. Thank you.

We had a lovely time; the room was spacious and comfortable, the food was good, and Mike and Jen were friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic about the local wildlife, which included a couple of white tailed eagles and a lot of deer.

Jen User ProfileJen is a superhost.

I have lived on the Isle of Mull for 21 years and I love it. I enjoy walking my 4 dogs and taking them to agility. I like to cook and try to have fresh baking for our guests every day. I am the leader of the local volunteer fire station which I really enjoy, being able to help my local community is very important.
