Brad communicated very well off the start. I found the add very overstated as the place was not huge based on what we are custom to in Canada. All reviews stated that the place was clean which was not the case when we arrived although again could be to other peoples standards but by no means is it hotel quality.
We arrived Christmas day and Brad had first informed us that he was buying a lock box to place the key in once we arrived he told us it was placed under a bucket in front of the door. Now there was no lighting whatsoever so it was very difficult to find. Once we entered the apartment we immediately needed to go to the bathroom being we just flew 7 hours. My wife noticed no toilet paper and the toilet was broken. We immediately contacted Brad who told me he could Amazon prime us some toilet paper. We found this hilarious as it would take 2 days for that to arrive so we essentially got our own. As for the toilet being broken we basically got told how to get around the fact that the normal flushing procedure was broken, we had to stick our hands in to the back bowl of water and pull the black lever, not at all what we expected. Now let's move on to the Kitchen. The floor was sticky and ruined a few pairs of socks, microwave was filthy and the refrigerator was very dirty. Now on to the living room, low couch which was OK but it is a 3 piece which comes apart easy, area rug really needs to be vacuumed. The bed is cheap Ikea and also looks like it is falling apart. The closet was packed with the owners junk and we had to live out of suitcase. In the end we filled a claim with Airbnb and Brad was not willing to co-operate and we had to allow them to provide a resolution after Brad accused us of stealing and smoking which we do not do and is an insult since we are non smokers.
