Had a wonderful stay at Crashpad! Very close to the beach, food, and shopping. Place looks just like the photos, the bed was extremely comfortable as well. Very clean place, provided large fluffy bath towels, beach towels and body wash and shampoo as well. Having Netflix was great after a long day and just wanting to relax in bed and watch some TV. Not pictured as much in the photos is the kitchen, which was awesome because we went to Food Pantry nearby and bought simple things for breakfast and having a stove and fridge was handy to save some money. Pans and pots were available to cook with. The place is very nice, lots of natural light in the mornings to wake up to. The only thing I would advise before booking this location is to make sure you won't want to cancel. We wanted to cancel within 24 hours of booking (my mother in law found a good deal for us) but they have a very strict cancellation policy. We were offered 50% of what we paid and a full refund on whatever days they were able to rebook. Unfortunately, since we were staying for 10 nights, we didn't want to risk losing the money so we stayed here anyway. I was surprised, I figured within 24 hours we would be allowed to cancel without penalty, so just a heads up. I saw some reviews for construction in the area, and yes, there is a lot of construction early in the morning that will probably wake you up at 7am. However, we didn't really care because it got us up early anyway. Definitely eat at Marukame Udon, very close and so so tasty. Also Me BBQ was very good as well, the Kal bi was really tasty. If you have the chance, Rainbow drive in and Leonards bakery is a short bus ride (or a long walk) but very good as well. There are food trucks nearby (it's like two long trucks with signs plastered all over the side of their food), only a street away and I would advise against eating here. I ate there one night because it was close and I was hungry but it was very disappointing. Overall, this place is in a really good location and comfortable to stay in.

The place is nearby Waikiki beach, you could go walking... to restaurants, beach, etc. If you have a car, and do not rent the parking spot that is offered with the apartment, you have to park on the street.

Kyle is an awesome host who responds very quickly. He addressed the issues I had with the towels immediately. The place is perfectly located away from all the noise, but close enough to the beach and the festivities. The neighbors are awesome and super hospitable. We had a great experience here!!

This place was absolute perfection! Hosts were so very accommodating to our last minute needs, and saved us from a horrible hotel experience! Communication with host was spot on. Description accurate, clean, and cozy! Interior design is amazing, and makes you feel like you are most definitely in Hawaii! These guys thought of everything a person would possibly need to adapt to this area. Bed was way too comfortable and made us want to sleep-in instead of explore the island and beaches!

Good if you really need a full studio, otherwise a hotel room is probably a better deal. Pros: The studio is nice overall and has been refreshed. The design is pretty good (good job to who ever did the design) and looks just like in the photos. It is close to downtown and is walking distance to almost everything. The kitchen is well equipped with even a bunch of utensils. The TV has a netflix account which is nice if you don't have one. Cons: This apartment is on a very sketchy street, with weird people hanging around. The parking spot ($20/night) is very tight and you'll need to let other people out before parking, but it is on site. All the windows cannot be fully closed, they all stay slightly open (they are sort of horizontal blinds of glass and they cannot be fully closed). That makes the noise of the street pretty disturbing. I know the owner replied to a previous comment saying this is normal, but it is not and a hotel is much quieter. Sometimes at night people talk at the bottom of the building, and though the apartment is on the 3rd floor, you can hear the people just like they were right next to the bed. This is also a problem for AC. The apartment has a small window AC but during the day it hardly does anything because super hot air keeps coming through the windows. At night it barely does anything, but just enough so it's bare-able (you'll still sweat). Getting a hotel will get you a cleaned room every day, good AC, less noise, more amenities and more safety.

some HIGHLIGHTS: - LOCATION is perfect, walk-able to Waikiki central area(restaurant, shopping, and of course the beach) - The room is pretty clean and cozy, great for two people stay. - Communication is great, Kyle is very responsive and let us check-in in advance. - It is said, there is free Netflix, but we were back late and tired and did not have time to enjoy it though~~ some CONCERNS: - Parking is provided, but you need to ask Kyle up front, since it is not guaranteed. We stayed for 5 nights, only had the last 3-night parking, and we had to find parking spot for the first 2 nights(Honolulu zoo has paid-parking spot like $1/hour). And parking space is really limited, we had a dodge economic car, just right into it, no bigger car than that can be parked, otherwise we'd like to enjoy some breeze from convertible car:( - The AC is kinda noisy, and they have construction in the morning, since we have 3-hour jet lag from California, that's not a big problem for us. Just in case it would be one for you. Overall, a nice place to stay in Waikiki.
