Description

The space

This room has a full size bed, a twin bed and a private bath. You do not need to go into the hall to get to the bathroom it's located inside your room which is nice. I have a coffee bar inside your room and I provide you a fresh bottle of water along with coffee amenities.

Guest access

I will give you a key when you arrive. Or have one in a lockbox and give you the combo by email.

Interaction with guests

Is this a trick question? Interaction is up to you. I'm friendly and I love my town! If you need interaction and I have the time I'd be happy to interact. However, I work a lot so we may never see each other.

The neighbourhood

I love living walking distance to so many bars!! Friday and Saturday night can get a little noisy. I do live in town near a busy intersection but for the most part it's a really nice location and close to everything. This is definitely not a quiet cottage in the woods.

Getting around

I do live near a bus stop but our public transit system is a joke. You need a vehicle to really get around but you certainly could walk to anything downtown.

Other things to note

I have a westie. He loves people though he is not to keen on dogs. Don't steal his food or he will cut you. That is really his two simple rules in life.
I also have a chef boyfriend. His restaurant is named: eM which is right around the corner from my house on 19 E Boscawen St. If you tell them you are Tina's airbnb guests and that I said you get the friends and family rate- they will give you 15% off (food not alcohol). Remind me, I will make sure to let them know your coming in. It's a small place with amazing excellent food. The menu changes daily. You will never see chicken on the menu- but I promise you, it's an experience! (URL HIDDEN)

Tina was a great hostess. The bed was truly comfy and the room cozy. I'm not a dog in the house lover and was a little nervous about a dog in the home, but he was really sweet, not smelly, stopped in to say hello and left shortly after. Everything was easy, including coffee in the mornings thanks to a very nice coffee/tea setup in my room. I would definitely stay again......

The house is very old, and as noted, a bit noisy from being at a busy intersection, but it is cozy and very close to dining, shopping, and Shenandoah University. Chester the dog was a great greeter and hung out with me in the evening. Tina is a very thoughtful and friendly hostess. Anyone with mobility deficits should note there are about 15 stair steps from the sidewalk to the front door, and the gust room is upstairs.
