Nunnehi is a sweet rustic cabin with year-round mountain view to die for; comfy furniture; fireplace; 3 flat screen TVs with netflix, DVD, cable; wireless internet; well appointed kitchen; big screened porch; very quiet yet only 6 mi from downtown Blue Ridge!

We recently added a new split system AC/Heater, quiet, efficient and VERY comfortable. Nunnehi is the perfect getaway cabin... you'll see what we mean when you park on the gravel drive and walk through the door.

The space

The single split heat pump, unit above dining room table, is AC/Heat and is operated by the remote. Very easy, set temp, turn on. Also, please feel free to use the firewood. We recommend taking newspaper with you to help start a fire. There is a red kindling box to the left of the fireplace on the floor. We often pull the rockers in from the living room and porch and sit around the fire. Please take great care with the fire, the cabin is all wood, so make sure the fireplace is closed before going to bed and the fire is out before leaving the cabin for any reason. There is a fire extinguisher to the right of the fireplace on the wall.

Guest access

You are free to use the whole cabin with the exception of the owner's closet in the small bedroom. There is a land-line phone in the living room under the TV, the number is (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)

Interaction with guests

Feel free to call or text me anytime. Michael, (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN).

Big rule, no smoking. Another big rule, relax and have fun.

Dogs are great, but guests who allow them to do damage are a real drag and will get a poor review. Please be thoughtful, Nunnehi is our get-a-way, too.

If anything breaks or doesn't work as it should, contact us immediately, we'll make it right.

When your visit is over, place bagged trash on the screened in porch, bears prefer that you don't, but we prefer not to encourage the bears, they make a mess and trash is not good for them.

Small, happy get togethers are fine, but this is not a party cabin. You cannot see your neighbors, but if you get loud, they can hear you. We love our neighbors and we all look out for each other.

OK, enough house rules, enjoy.

We enjoyed our stay at Nunnehi cabin. It was secluded with a nice wooded view, very peaceful, with the comforts of home. We had a great stay, and would stay again.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Nunnehi cabin. Very cozy with everything you could hope for in a mountain cabin- clean, beautiful view, comfy bed, adorable cabin feel (made of beautiful wood & stone, huge screened in porch facing the mountains, fire place and outdoor fire ring, fire wood- I could go on and on!), all amenities needed (plus many thoughtful touches), close to town and many hiking areas while still very private. It was hard to leave this place, and we would definitely love to stay here again. Our host was very quick to respond, making booking and check-in a breeze.

This is a great little cabin in the mountains with a nice view. It is convenient to shopping, hiking, restaurants etc. but also a nice place to chill with a book. Also a big bonus that we could take our dogs. Michael replied immediately to any questions. We would definitely stay here on any future trips to Blue Ridge.

Great place to stay when visiting Blue Ridge! We visited with two couples and a dog. The rooms were spacious and had gorgeous views of the forest and mountains. Kitchen had everything we needed and we were all happy to find the shower provided some soap essentials! Drive to downtown Blue Ridge took only a few minutes. Would definitely stay here again if we came back!

It truly is a great, cozy spot nestled back in the woods near Blue Ridge. Town is about 10 minutes away so you are never far if you need anything. The house was spotless upon arrival and the atmosphere is inviting. The view is spectacular. The porch lends itself to a lot of sitting and reading. Wifi and cable connections work great if you need them. The AC is not central but it keeps the entire place as cool as you would want it. Michael's place has very soft beds so keep that in mind if you prefer something firmer. I had a great, relaxing trip and was able to do a lot of reading and writing. I would definitely stay again.
