Neighbourhood highlights

Dungeness has so much to offer. On the Dungeness estate you will find, amongst other beautiful and amazing sights, the RHDR miniature train which will take you from Dungeness right through to Hythe. You will also see the two power stations. Dungeness A and Dungeness B. Though both are being decommissioned at this time, the buildings are still erect and work is still going ahead.
On the estate is also the house of Derek Jarmen the multitalented filmmaker, (1942-1994). The space around this modest cottage in Dungeness, could be considered one of England’s best-loved gardens.
The pilot pub is not more than 400m away from my home and is said to serve the best fish and chips!
A further up the coast is Greatstone, where the beaches are sandy and a windsurfers paradise.
A ten to fifteen minute drive in the opposite direction will lead you to Camber Sands.
