We are welcoming you into our home and our beloved (and residential) neighborhood! Please join us in being good Neighbors, below are a few ways to do that.
There is no smoking anywhere on the property or adjacent streets.
We provide for your use garbage and recycling cans behind a closed gate, out of sight.
Parking: There is no parking on San Antonio Ave, please park right in front of our house (on Santa Lucia) if that space is available. Note that there are occasionally white, vertical posts in carmel upon which is written "No Parking" for example on the south side of Santa Lucia between Scenic Road and San Antonio Ave.
Before walking at night, stop and notice that there are few sidewalks and fewer streetlights in Carmel's residential neighborhoods. We provide several flashlights in a drawer right next to the refrigerator. Take them along on your sunset-watching beach walk to make sure cars see you as you walk home.
Speaking of rules, we should let you know that we do pay the Monterey County Transient Occupancy Tax! This 10.5% tax is already included in the per night amount quoted to you by Airbnb.
Carol and I found our Carmel house some 18 years ago and are excited to now be able to offer our newly decorated guest quarters with visitors met through Airbnb. We live with two cats Mia and Greyson -- you may see them about and they do not have permission to enter your guest quarters although they may try and convince you otherwise.
We are both at the end of our work careers, so will generally be around if you would like a glass of wine or coffee/tea and/or want details on the surrounds. Otherwise you don't need to see us as there is a lockbox outside the door that you will have the combination for.
