Beautiful handmade shepherds huts finished to the highest standards. Quality fitted kitchens, en suite bathroom, fridge, oven, underfloor heating, fully equipped, BOSE sound, TV/DVD, pure sheep's wool duvets, crisp linen and fluffy towels.
We have built our huts in a large plot of private woodland. The property is secluded and private with beautiful views south down the Holker Valley and across to Bigland Hall. We are rural and near a working farm. We have average phone reception, depending on network - a good excuse to get away from it all! We have a land line should you need. The nearest town (6 miles) is the charming Ulverston, a quaint market town. There is a supermarket, plenty of bespoke and individual shops with its beautiful cobbled streets and market twice a week.
We are only 20 minutes from M6, but a million miles from the rat race!
You will have exclusive use of the huts, arctic cabin, lawn area and the surrounding woodland. We have oodles of parking space, with you own gated access.
Interaction with guests
You can mingle with the occupants of our huts in our arctic hut, complete with bbq/fire pit for cosy nights around the campfire! You can cook your catch or simply relax over a few drinks in a cosy setting under the woodland stars.

We are a couple born and bred in the Lake District, South Cumbria. The "Woodmans Huts" are part of our family home, where we have lived for nearly 30 years.
The Shepherds Huts have been hand built by us, which has been a real labour of love.
We like nothing more than going round antique fairs and auctions and our eclectic style of interior design for the huts has been sourced from all over the country, in fact the world ! The single window shutter found in the bathroom of the four berth hut was bought in a junk shop in California, Liz hid it in the bottom of her suitcase unbeknown to me ! So everything has a 'tale to tell "!
We are an easy going, home loving couple.
We will welcome you to our lovely huts ensuring you enjoy our beautiful Lake District.
