Neighbourhood highlights

This is a beautiful part of North Yorkshire, in the North York Moors National Park and also in a Conservation area.

Nearby is The Blackwell Ox pub that is a great local pub serving great genuine Thai food (and British favourites) and real ales. The staff are very friendly and we are fortunate to have such a good local pub!

At the top of Carlton Bank is the Lord Stones Country Park where they serve good steaks from their own cattle in The Belted Bull.

There are other really good pubs serving good food locally including the superb Golden Lion at Osmotherley that is about 10 minutes drive from here. This is our favourite restaurant!

There are very good shops in the nearby market town of Stokesley that is less than 4 miles away with butchers, bakers, a bank, Post Office, Co-op Convenience store and a larger Co-op on the outskirts, coffee shops, bars, restaurants and many small independent shops and even a Mirco pub the Green man!

A fantastic location for walking, cycling or just as a base to tour the Moors or pop down to the coast - Whitby is only a 40 minute drive, Saltburn is just a 25 minute drive away.

York is about an hour away as well as Leeds and Newcastle.
