Place was awesome. Only 25 minutes from ACE adventure that offers tons of activities (zipline, whitewater rafting, mud course, water park, etc.). The house itself is fully stocked with things to do including (hot tub, horse shoe, fire pit, bad mitten, board games, corn hole, etc.) I hope to go back again one day.

Laurel Creek Retreat was a wonderful place to get my family and siblings together for a spring reunion. Wonderful accommodations and a quiet secluded place in the woods to sit around a campfire and visit. A lovely view of the creek. There was corn toss, badminton, volley ball, fishing and hot tub. The kitchen was a nice large area for us to all cook together with large dining tables. The New River Gorge Info Center is a quick drive for tips on things to do. We had a wonderful time and plan on going back.

I think our entire party of 13 found the entire experience delightful. Sitting on the back porch of the main house and listening to the stream was about the best therapy to be found for the stresses of urban life. The slow Hughes satellite internet and voice only cell signal strength forced some of that, but we'd arrived expecting some limitations. This isn't a place I'd want to conduct internet intense business while on vacation. The amenities provided are A+...just about anything anyone could need. The main house is very modern and well maintained and furnished. The cabin is a bit rustic but certainly acceptable. The drive into the valley is a fun experience in itself. Great for a dry summer's day. It would be a challenge in winter's weather. It is a 4 mile or so uphill drive to discount stores and in-town shops and restaurants. Pints and Pies was a hit after a visit to the gorge (and public WiFi could be found for the business or personal "emergency comm" in town). In summary, we'd consider doing this again. It is equal travel distance for many in our party, but we'd probably consider it if the commute was much longer. The quality of this BnB is a sentiment that is shared often in the guest book in the house.

Lynn was very easy to communicate with. We were coming in just as storms and flooding were forecasted, and she was very reassuring about the state of the house and even let us arrive a little early so that we could avoid the worst of it! The house was better than expected; large and well-taken care of and on a beautiful property! We had a family reunion that included 5 families and never felt scrunched.

Thanks for the review, J, delighted of course that you enjoyed your stay with us. Yes, the flooding in portions of West Virginia has been horrific but thankfully we were spared anything beyond a sopping-wet lawn. Come back and see us!
