The neighbourhood

Karlín:
After flood in 2002 the past decade has been a decade of dramatic growth and renewal for Karlin, with developers coming in eager to fill in the gaps left behind the buildings that needed to be torn down. Its leafy streets near the centre seem more and more attractive each year. Karlin is cool because it is both hip and raw at the same time.
Wake up in the morning with an espresso from Czech specialty coffee roasting company "Doubleshot" in an award winning cafe "Můj šálek kávy", get a filling lunch in between sightseeing in "Garage" - Pragues only Canadian bistro or chill after a long day with a glass of beautiful Czech wine in praized "Veltlin" wine bar... everything just a minute away from your apartment. And that's just for start, Karlín offers you so much more...

Jana has been an excellent host, very nice and convenient and easy to communicate with. Her apartment is very nice and cozy. We really felt like home with the same care as an hotel. It is close to the metro and the tram and there is a very nice restaurant at the next corner that serves healthy and cheap food. We will probably book again your place for our next stay !

Very nice location - tram stop and metro are located nearby. There are nice places with coffee and breakfast not far from the house. Jana has been very friendly and responsive, she allowed us to check in earlier. The apartment has everything travelers might need: washing machine, equipped kitchen, even umbrella (Prague has been rainy). We will definitely stay in Jana's apartment if we come to Prague again.

Absolutely wonderful apartment and host. The apartment was spacious and comfortable with central heating and utilities to cook your own meal if you wanted. It had everything we could need, from a washing machine (with complimentary washing powder) to slippers and umbrellas. Jana was friendly and super accommodating, she even gave us local welcome beers on arrival. She helped us understand the public transportation as well as outlined where to go and what to do. We would love to come back to this gorgeous city and stay in this apartment again.

Hi everyone,

looking forward to meeting all you travelers!

I consider myself to be a gastronome who loves to cook and enjoy good food, so I'll be happy to recommend you cool, fun, laidback, fancy, luxurious or whatever places to have a nice meal or a glass.

I studied at University College of International and Public Relations Prague and at The Institute of Hospitality Management in Prague so I hope to make use of it to be a good host ;-)
