This is a great little inn very close to the Hakuba train station. Despite the bus being deactivated because it was end of the season, Freddy was really nice and dropped us off and picked us up at the ski resort. They were also really nice cancelling a night because we had train issues. Despite what Kyoto JR says, the train stops early at the end of the night. The room and beds were very warm, and we went to the Hakuba Highlands onsen which had an awesome view of the mountain we were skiing on.

Amazing cheap place to stay! Owners were very friendly and helpful. All other customers staying were really friendly as well and made us feel so welcome! Absolutely loved our time here and would definitely stay again. The only problem we had has that the shower area was not heated so we had to go to the hotel next door for an onsen as it was way too cold to shower. It was close to the bus stop to the ski fields and there was a great restaurant called "emu" just down the road which had amazing and cheap meals! Thanks for our stay! We wished we could have stayed longer.

Arrival check in was a breeze. We immediately felt secure and comfortable. The room was well maintained and the bathroom was equipped with necessities. The owners were welcoming, friendly and did not hesitate to respond when we had queries as this was our first Japan travel. Location is perfect for us as we were planning to ski at Happo. Transport routes were not hard to figure out and shuttles near the accommodation was free and always on time. It is truly a value for money stay.

Saiko is a busy person but made an effort to greet us just after we arrived. When it came to going around the town & various ski resorts, she offered help with directions and making calls to translate for us. The accommodation itself is better than we expected. It was spacious, clean and had everything we required. The location is perfect! Right next to a hotel with an indoor/outdoor onsen, the bus stop and train station is just a couple hundred meters away and the shuttle bus stop for the main resorts is also right there. As there were carpenters coming in and out of the stay (they weren't of any disturbance), it looks to be a promising improvement for when I am in Hakuba next. Thank you.

This place was super close to the JR Hakuba Station and there was a free shuttle from the adjacent hotel that took you to all the popular snowboard spots. The place is very basic but it has everything you need. A few things to note are that there are no towels, so be sure to bring your own. Also, the place is very cold and all heat is provided by kerosine heaters in each room. Once you get the routine down of starting the heater before showering and heating your room when you get back it's not a big deal. Saiko is super quick to respond to messages but will not contact you unless contacted. One last thing to note is that the walls are super thin and you can definitely hear your neighbors. Overall it's a convenient, reasonable, no frills place to stay during a visit to Habuka for snowboarding or skiing.
