Nice place on a good location. Quite some space but too much personal stuff around. It is not organized. It is a messy place. Doesn't feel good.

I very much enjoyed my stay at James' flat. I stayed there by myself. The place is spacious for a Hong Kong apartment, and good for two people. There is a private bedroom, two aircons, fridge, TV, good wifi, and the neighbours are quiet. The neighbourhood itself is hip, but not noisy. Plenty of options for food and very convenient to get by: Distance to MTR: 10 min walk to Sheung Wan, 15 min to Central Distance to other transport: bus stop downstairs, taxis easy to hail from street Convenience: 2 large grocery stores and 3 laundrettes nearby, as well as 24h McDonalds and 24h convenience stores, Starbucks and Pacific Coffee. A few things that might affect your stay: 3 floors of stairs to climb to get into the flat, so getting my luggage up was a pain! Shower and cooker run on gas, this may mean you need to buy a gas refill and liaise with gas company if it runs out (James is helpful on this and will reimburse the gas cost). Bring your own iron and hairdryer. I found that James was easily contactable and will assist on any problems I had. Overall I recommend this flat!

All worked out very well, we received the keys conveniently. Flat exactly like photos, perfect location on Hollywood Rd. James kept in contact the whole time in case we needed any help, very forthcoming! Bed is comfortable too and the aircon works very well. My friend and I would definetly come back.

For the tourists the location is very good. It is in a locally-called Chinese building. Yes, 3F walk-up but better than a lot of 4-5F walk up. For that reason I chose it for my parents’ stay. I live in Hong Kong myself and had other Airbnb experience here so understand that this flat is quite spacious. It should be comfortable enough for a couple. We didn’t meet the host but the check-in was like a breeze. That was a lived-in place so everything needed for a short stay was there. My parents were quite satisfied with the overall experience. Note that the bedroom faces two main roads in the area so consider bringing ear plugs if you want to sleep in a bit in the morning. After all this is Hong Kong where noises and people are what you can’t hide away from.

James was a great host, checked in with us a few times to see how things were going and was very responsive. The place definitely is sunny and spacious (by HK standards for sure). The kitchen is small, but serviceable for basic meals. Sheung Wan is a great neighborhood to start out in, very convenient and has a good balance of local and expat amenities.

Apartment was clean, tidy, everything worked and was as described. Since we were there for a week though it would have been ideal to have some storage space so as not to live out of a suitcase.
