This quiet, completely independent apartment has a view of the sea and is a one-minute walk to the Prado. Within minutes, you can reach anywhere in the Old Havana or el Centro, as well as the Malecón for a sea-side stroll. Because this apartment is on the fourth-floor, it is much quieter than most places in Havana and receives the cooling wind off the sea.

Leonardo was very friendly and quick to respond from the offset. A friend and I rented his apartment for two weeks and used it as a base whilst we visited Cuba. The apartment itself is pretty basic, but we knew this before we booked, but you can't complain for the price. The location is excellent and easy to find after a day of exploring Havana. It's just off the bottom of Prado, which is a beautiful street in itself, but this then leads up to Parque Central and connects you to Havana Vieja. If you head the other direction on Prado (although the apartment is right near he bottom of the street), then you head onto the Malecón. The apartment has a small balcony at the front, from which you can see Hotel Nacional in the distance. You can also see parts of the Ocean and the entrance to the harbour. There is also a terrace out the back of the apartment, which doesn't really have any view, but is always sunny during the day and a nice place to have a few drinks on an evening. The bedroom has two single beds (which I presume you could push together for a double), as well as air con, a stereo and a TV (neither of which we used) The kitchen was very compact, but has a small fridge, freezer compartment, stove and microwave, plus all the utensils you'll need. There are quite a few stairs to climb to get to the apartment, but nothing anyone who's not totally unfit couldn't handle, just mind your head for the low ceilings on a couple of them! We loved our stay in Cuba and would recommend it to anyway and although we travelled to Viñales and Trinidad, we loved having this apartment in Havana to come back to!

It is a nice cosy apartment, perfectly close to Old Havana and the Malecon. The apartment has literally everything you need which makes it perfect. Although the stairs to go up are tiring after a long day. I'd like to add that Leonardo is a brilliant host. He waited for us to check in whilst it was late, helped carry out bags and bought us some water bottles. He assisted us with our many questions and queries we had about Cuba and Havana. He was the perfect host and I'd recommend to stay here.

If you're fortunate enough to travel to Havana, you MUST stay at Leonardo's apartment. Not only does it have a wonderful view of the Malecon, it is in the BEST location. If we wanted to walk everything was well within walking distance. If we wanted to take a taxi, there were always a group of them parked near by. Aside from a nice apartment and a great location, Leonardo was beyond wonderful. He provided great insight to Havana and was so helpful organizing check in/ check out. If I ever get the chance to go back to Havana, I'd 100% stay here again.

The location was great...easy to get to Havana Vieja, then back to Malecon for dinner and sunset. Private and secure, we enjoyed the space and would return in a heartbeat.

This apartment is located on the fifth (not the ninth!) floor of an older building in Centro Habana. It is a very short walk to Havana Vieja, the Malecon, and nightlife on Galiano. On Sundays there is a large art market just a couple of blocks away on the Paseo del Prado, which is a good area to stroll. There is no elevator in the building. The apartment is at its best in sunny weather, with a balcony in the front (with a partially obstructed but nonetheless delightful view of the bay) and a huge, private back patio. The bedroom is basic, with two single beds that can be pushed together (though it's not the same as sleeping with your partner in a double bed). The water in the shower was pretty warm and even gets hot if you wait to shower in the afternoon, after the sun has heated the water tank for a few hours. There is a lot of construction in the vicinity, but the apartment itself was quiet. Leonardo was professional and reliable. We stayed here seven days and had a nice time.

Leonardo's apartment has a great location, close to a main avenue, and is very comfortable. It's on a fifth floor, no elevator, but it's definitley worth the view! We had a very nice stay. Thank you Leonardo!
