This spacious two-bedroom apartment is newly renovated and painted. The large kitchen and living room are ideal for groups, and the two bedrooms are separated by long hallways and the communal area. Located on S 8th Street at the base of the bridge.

The space

This kind of space is hard to find in the hot neighborhood of Williamsburg. When you enter, you walk down a long hallway. To your right is the first bedroom featuring a comfortable full-size bed with closet and window. Next you'll come across the newly renovated kitchen with a table for four plus two stools that can be used at the kitchen counter top. Next you'll enter the HUGE living room with massive sleeper sofa and area for lounging. Two big windows let in lots of natural light. To the right of the living room is a larger bedroom featuring a super comfortable full-size bed with dresser, closet, window, etc.

Great flat, great location, very easy with Peky - we just had a key and came and went as we pleased. The shower is amazing :) Williamsburg is on the pricey side for food as it is so very cool and hipster, but we splashed out or went further afield easy peasy. Would stay here again.

Had a great stay at Pekys while over to run the NYC Marathon. Place was clean and beds comfortable. Close to subway for quick to trip into Manhattan. Shops and restaurants nearby on Bedford avenue for evenings. The flat is pretty no frills but could be great with a bit of TLC. Kitchen stocked enough if you want to cook and beds are comfortable and the neighbours/neighbourhood quiet.

The 2nd floor flat was in a great location just a few minutes from the bars and shops in Williamsburg. Also close to the metro, Marcy Av., which has a lift, very handy if you have big luggage. I never met the owner, his family met us and done the tour. I messaged him and all requests were dealt with - the 3rd bed is a sofa (or airbed) and this hadn't been made up and there were no spare clean sheets. Apparently you have to say you want it made up. I texted him the first night and new ones were brought the next day. We were told there was air conditioning but it hadn't been connected, as we arrived in a heatwave I also requested this be connected, and it was done the next evening. We put it on for a bit but it didn't really do much so turned it off in the end. The sheets in the back bedroom were stained (and weren't replaced until the next day) and the rubbish hadn't been taken out, this was done when we arrived in the evening - so not sure what happened there. The back bedroom off the living room is noisy due to a neighbours generator going off and on all day/night but there isn't much the owner can do about that, apart from getting double/triple glazing. I got used to it the second night and got some sleep, but a friend who is a light sleeper found it hard. Its pretty much what it looks like in the pictures, basic, so don't expect a 5 star hotel. The bathroom and front doors stick and the beds aren't the most comfortable but for the price its fine.

We enjoyed our stay at Peky's apartment in Williamsburg. It was very conveniently located and very close to the Marcy Avenue subway station. The walk across Williamsburg Bridge was great and walking to the restaurants and bars of Bedford Avenue, etc. was easy. The apartment was very basic but very good value and generally peaceful and quiet. It was cold in New York but the apartment was always warm and there was always lots of hot water. There was no TV and no curtains in the bedrooms - just blinds that don't keep the light out. The bedding and pillows could be improved.

The air conditionings are very old and noisy. The bathroom door locker was broken, but the owner said he would get it repaired.
