Cozy two room apartment, 10-minute walk from Sacre-Coeur & Montmartre! Very close to Gare du Nord (Eurostar station) & direct access to CDG & ORY Airports.

The space
October 2021 UPDATE: my apartment is cleaned and sanitized before check-in, and a very thorough deep clean is conducted on a regular basis.

Hello! My reservation calendar is always up-to-date, so please feel free to reserve your dates if they are showing as available. Please read through *all* of the details below to make sure that my flat meets your needs. When in doubt, don't hesitate to message me - I'm always pretty quick about responding!

Important: make sure you read up on the area! The flat is in a neighborhood called La Goutte D'Or and it's my home, I love it, have lived there for years and it's my favorite part of Paris (no, I am not objective). It's got great outdoor markets nearby, cozy neighborhood cafes where locals come to catch-up, and artsy little shops. Real Parisians live in La Goutte D'or, it's got great transport links, and it's within walking distance to the heart of Montmartre, so it's great for tourists. For an authentic experience (which is what Airbnb is supposed to be about anyway...), then you will find it with my flat :-)

Early check-in & late check-out: A later check-in (any time after 1pm), or an early check-out (any time before 11am) is always possible if the apartment is available! You just need to provide the times, and we will arrange for you to get the keys. However, for an early check-in, or a late check-out: this needs to be requested and confirmed in writing using the Airbnb messaging system. I will always accommodate when possible (at no additional cost), so don't hesitate to ask!

Important: For *next day and same day* reservations, please send me a message to coordinate arrival details, so that I can arrange for the cleaner & key drop off with you. Do not reserve a same-day or next-day stay without checking with me first or your reservation might be cancelled.

Please take a look at the neighborhood guide that Airbnb provides for my area. It is truly representative of my neighborhood, and will give you a good idea of what to expect.

Lastly, and probably most importantly: I don't think of renting out my flat as just a way to earn some extra cash (although that is nice!!), but I really love the idea of sharing a part of my Parisian experience with other travelers. If you stay at my flat, then you will experience "real" Paris and will live like a Parisian (for a few days, at least!).

The apartment is fully furnished and equipped, and consists of one separate bedroom, an entryway that leads into a living room with an open kitchen, a bathroom with a shower, and the WC (toilet room). The apartment was completely renovated recently renovated, but it's still an old apartment (the building was built in the 1890s !!) so it has its quirks. Please note: there is no formal dinner table.

There is wireless internet, flat screen/cable TV, dishwasher, stove, fridge, hot water kettle, coffee maker, iron & ironing board, etc. You will have access to all of the above, so basically anything that a typical apartment would normally offer.

The area:
The building is in a 'colorful' area, as people tend to call it, in the 18th arrondissement of Paris. The neighborhood is called La Goutte d'Or (which means Golden Drop) The apartment is on a 'square' with a cute little church (Eglise Saint-Bernard) in the center, so there's very little traffic, and it's calm near my flat. The surrounding area once you leave the church area is very animated, however, and is bustling with lots of people out in the streets, and there are lots of African restaurants and shops in the neighborhood. The closest metro is La Chapelle, but you can also take Chateau Rouge. If you are not familiar with this neighborhood please let me know so I can give more details! Access to the building itself is done via a secure entry badge, and the flat is on the 2nd French floor (or 3rd American).

The apartment is within walking distance to Montmartre/Sacre Coeur, and is off of metro lines 2, 4, 5, 7, 12 as well as RER B, E, and D. So, from both Orly and CDG airport, the train ride is direct to my flat. Also, I am very close to the Canal Saint-Martin (15-20 min. walk) as well as the Buttes Chaumont Park. You could also walk to Pigalle, the Moulin Rouge, and the Montmartre neighborhood.

I love hosting guests and would be more than willing to give restaurant advice or any other Paris-related help! So, if you're moving to Paris and need a few days to get an apartment sorted, or if you don't want to go the hostel/cheap hotel route during your stay in the City of Light, then this might be a good deal for you! For any questions, feel free to message me.

Where you’ll be

Paris, Île-de-France, France

I love this neighborhood, but it might not be for everyone. It is very multi-ethnic and is one of the best areas for Indian, Pakistani, and African food in Paris! This part of Paris feels "real" and friends visiting have commented that it reminds them of Brooklyn in New York or Brixton in London.

For an excellent idea of what the neighborhood is like, please check out the Airbnb guide for the area.
