The neighbourhood

It's a peaceful and quite space to breath in the fresh air, listen to the african nightlife come alive and watch clear starlight. Impala, Nyala, and Duiker roam around the farm and house. Be sure to watch the Bush Babies depart from the house at dusk. The sound of Jackal howling at night or the Fish Eagle's scream during the day also makes for a true Waterberg experience.

Getting around

Own transport recommended

Other things to note

Bring wood/charcoal if you'd like to make a fire or have a braai.
Drinking water, as the water has a slight iron taste.
I have no oven or TV, but I do have a Weber, gas stove and a fireplace.

Our stay at the most gracious host's (Cordier!) farmhouse felt like home, just better! A place to really kick your shoes off and completely relax. The dog, Cartie, makes a lovely companion on walks. The ducks and the tarentale and the bokkies and the visiting squirrels complete the perfect waterberg experience. And thank you to Josef and Anna for looking after us. Looking forward to our next visit!

Cordier's place is amazing. Full of homely unique touches and comes with a free dog. It is incredibly peaceful and secluded. Everything you need is probably there. We came home at home at 7 to a lovely fire in the fire pit. I can highly recommend staying at Cordier's.

We stayed a few day in the farmhouse and enjoyed every single minute. We loved it and can recommend it to everybody. It's a place away from the tourist crowds, quite and feels very authentic. We were allowed to feed the game animals which was great to watch them when they came to eat. The house itself is very big and very well decorated with love. It is very clean and cordier even he was away always helpful and answers every question we had straight away. Thank you cordier hope we can come back once a day.
