Absolutely gorgeous! Clean and inviting with beautiful decor. Open floor plan, so much more space than it even seems in the photos! Beautiful back deck overlooking creek. Beds were so comfy I didn't want to leave in the morning! Would definitely recommend to anyone!!

The Retreat was a perfect place for us to stay as we travelled south on Highway 127 during the annual 5-state yard sale (first weekend in August). The home is in a historic "merchant row." If you have time, walk around the neighborhood and drive to the Civil War battlefield. The food options are limited in this small little town, but you have to stop by the gas station (blue building) about two blocks away. We grabbed coffee and breakfast sandwiches on the way out of town and had fun talking to the man behind the counter. I would definitely stay in this charming, comfortable, and clean Air BnB again! Oh, and an added benefit to staying. There is a wonderful back deck that looks over a small creek. A great place to sit and have an evening cocktail...and just relax.

Paul's Retreat is a beautifully decorated, quiet home away from home. Loved the deck looking over the river.

Our Perryville experience was wonderful, not least of which was our excellent accommodation at The Retreat, a beautiful 1840s two-story home that is spacious, smartly decked out, replete with creature comforts, a perfect combo of period and modern convenience! A real value; would recommend to anyone!

Paul is very friendly and responsive. The beds are very comfortable which is so important when traveling. I regret that we were busy with a wedding and did not have more time to enjoy the place. I would recommend for a relaxing get away while visiting the historical places nearby. Oh and the back deck is wonderful!

We really enjoyed the property for our 1 night stay. The living space, dining area and kitchen are nicely furnished and we thought much nicer than pictures showed. The highlight is the back deck with a nice setting on the river under some large trees. Great place to relax. There are two bedrooms up some tight stairs with 2 king sized beds. The place was very comfortable for our family of four and would recommend it to others.
