Hill Flats DC is an owner managed luxury 1880 brownstone on the first residential block across the street from the Library of Congress and Folgers Shakespeare Theater. Just a short walk away you will have immediate access to the US Capitol, US Supreme Court, and The National Mall.
This is the ultimate location if you are looking for immediate walk-able access to all of Washington DC's historic sites.
The building is also just few blocks away from Eastern Market and Barracks Row. For public transportation the property is a short walk to Union Station and Capitol South Metro stops in addition to numerous bus lines.
There are dozens of restaurants, cafes, and bar's within a few minute walk. There is also a neighborhood grocery store around the corner. Capitol bike share is located nearby. Walkscore is 94.
The private apartment is on the first floor of a 4 unit historic 1880 building. The flat has been freshly remodeled and has a fully appointed kitchen with stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, and marble bathroom tile. For your sleeping arrangements we have 1 queen size pillow top mattress bed, 1 queen size combination spring + air sofa bed (similar to a sleepnumber), and 1 full size combination spring + air sofa bed (similar to a sleepnumber). We also have an additional queen size air mattress which is available upon request.
The unit comes with everything you need to make your stay comfortable.
This is one of the most charming and well preserved buildings on one of the most desired blocks in Washington DC.

This place has much going for it. First, the location on Capitol Hill is outstanding. It is a few blocks from the U.S. Capitol, the Supreme Court, the Library of Congress, and great eating places on Pennsylvania Avenue, like Good Stuff Eatery and We The Pizza. Second, the place has a big kitchen for cooking meals, and a great, updated bathroom. The big bed is comfortable. This is a great place for somebody or a couple visiting Washington, D.C.

Gene's place is in a great location and pretty accurate to what is shown. Would just recommend bring extra blankets if you get cold easily in the winter. All the units share the same heating and air conditioning so when it is cold in the evening you can not adjust the temperature yourself.

Sophia, In response to complaints about the heat, we have ordered space heaters which will be available on demand. That way, if you are cold, we can provide a heater. We also have stocked the closets with extra blankets! Thanks!

This flat is a great spot for those looking to walk the mall, see the Capitol, and do all the sight seeing you could imagine. There's a bike share down the block and the metro is minutes away on foot (getting to and from the airport is very easy). We spent a weekend and found the location ideal, and cleanliness and accommodations excellent. Gene was a great communicator and even let us keep our bags in the hallway after checkout for some last minute sight seeing. Thanks for a great weekend!
