The space

Room in quiet residential neighborhood with comfortable queen bed and modern private bath with shower/tub adjacent to room. Parking. No pets live in house. Backyard with pool (unheated) and spa (heated). Located 25 minute drive north of airport between I-17 and SR 51. Wi-Fi, Coffee/tea maker, microwave, hair dryer, access to frig, laundry. Continental breakfast provided. Eat on patio in good weather. Bus is three blocks away.

Accessiblity: House is all on one floor, no steps, so fairly handicapped accessible, just a small ledge to negotiate front door or patio. A little portable ramp solves the problem. I would accomodate person with handicaps to use walk-in shower in master bedroom.

Area is close to many shops and restaurants, and close to Lookout Mtn., North Mtn and Shaw Butte for some great urban hiking. However, most Phoenix attractions, like Phx Zoo, Desert Botanical Gardens, Symphony Hall, Heard Museum, baseball, theatre, are downtown, about a 25 minute drive.

This is a great stop on the way to the Grand Canyon. Very close to I-17.

I was very energized by my stay at Elayne's beautiful home. Every rooom is filled with interesting art objects. The house is incredibly clean and orderly. The bed is unusually comfortable and the room quite and peaceful. I slept better than I do at home and enjoyed very much chatting with Elayne in the mornings over coffee and fresh juice. Can't imagine a better place to stay at any price.

I had a wonderful two-day stay in Elayne's beautiful house. The guest quarters are lovely and very well-appointed. Elayne was the consummate host and provided a delicious breakfast with fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice, coffee and oatmeal!

Elayne is a great host. I am new to Phoenix, she was very helpful in figuring out stuffs. And the house is amazing. In future, I would love to stay here again. Thanks Elayne.

Elayne was a great and cheerful host. The house is beautiful, pool and whirlpool, though not heated in Nov. Very comfortable bed, clean private bathroom. A quiet and safe neighborhood. The location was close to a course I was taking, as well as some great hiking. She was resourceful resolving a car rental problem I had. I felt very at home and welcome in the house. Elayne was helpful with suggestions for places to go during my limited free time. I would happily return to Elayne's with more free time to explore hiking and biking.
