Part of a beautiful hilltop podere, this stunning self-contained apartment has all the style and comfort you could hope for, and views to match. The main studio incorporates kitchen, dining and relaxation areas; adjacent is a very spacious bedroom with private bathroom.
The wardrobe contains extra towels and bed covers. In the kitchen the large cupboard includes silverware in the top section and insecticide devices in the section on the left, should you need them.
The space on offer was once a stable and part of the Pergomeno Podere (or farm). The courtyard joins three separate living spaces - the main house, the custodian's dependence and the studio where you will be staying.
You will have keys to the courtyard gate, your front door and the doors that open towards the west terrace. You are welcome to use the courtyard or the west terrace to dine outside, but please understand that these are shared depending on who else is in the house at the time.
Interaction with guests
The custodian Gabriele will be pleased to help with any questions or information. Tiziana is the housekeeper and lives in Montisi. She prepares the apartment for your stay.

Other things to note
Two cats and sometimes a dog live at the house, all of which are friendly. The pool is normally open from late June until the end of September.
On arrival you will find a complimentary tray of tea, coffee, and a bottle of local red wine. A few basic foodstuffs will be available for your use but please try to replace what you use with similar items.
The wardrobe contains extra towels and bed covers. In the kitchen the large cupboard includes silverware in the top section and anti-insect equipment in the section on the left.
Please note: tap water is drinkable. It comes from the area of Monte Amiata, the mountain you can see beyond Montisi. There is a mineral water dispenser in the car park next to the castle in Trequanda where you can fill your own bottles for very little.
There are a couple of awkward light switches to note: the lamp of the kitchen area is switched from below the spice shelf behind the worktop.
The switches for the two groups of suspension lamps is in the junction box on the wall near to the head of David.
The courtyard lamps are switched on from just inside apartment entrance. These floor lights are dimmable; please do not leave them on after your retire. The lantern above the main arch should be left on all night.
There are a couple of music devises in the apartment - an iPod dock ( controlled by hand) in the bedroom and a larger sound system with an iPod jack that should be set to AUX. The CD facility is unreliable.
• Remember that you are staying in a home that is full of personal items. Please treat it and everything in it with the respect that you would afford your own home.
• When you are out please make sure that doors and windows are secured, and if Gabriele is not home, lock the courtyard gate.
• When using the bathroom, no items of any kind other than toilet tissue should be flushed down the W.C. For processing its waste, the house relies on a biological dispersal system.
• When using the pool, please avoid jumping or diving: either displaces large quantities of water most of which finishes up wasted.
• Rubbish bags need to be taken to a local collection point. The nearest are on the approach road to Montisi.
