Walk to the beach...

Enjoy all that downtown Huntington Beach has to offer within easy walking distance from this beautiful little 1 bedroom private back house (separate yard, entry, everything). Shop, eat, play…situated several short blocks away from Main Street and it’s stores, cafes, restaurants and bars this home is conveniently located to EVERYTHING (Farmer's Market every Tuesday and Friday). The pier, the path, the paradise of the Pacific- it’s all a quick stroll down the road.

Warm, welcoming, eclectic, clean and cozy...this place is a gem! A perfect sanctuary to escape the world while being able to easily access it at will.

The layout (this is a 2 story, stair access necessary, set up)-

Arrive at the gate through a nondescript little alley and you’re greeted by a large private yard. You can swing the day away in the giant hammock shaded under the trees, toss a blanket on the grass and enjoy the gentle coastal breeze while peacefully thumbing through a nice read or perhaps soak up some sun on the deck (when it’s nighttime, stoke up the heater outside or light a fire in the pit and just breathe in the sea salted air while taking in the peace and quiet under the stars). Interested in more daytime activity? Access the garage (where there is a closet filled with beach accessories-towels, toys, fins, masks, snorkels etc… as well a washer and dryer for your laundry needs) grab one of the cruisers and head down to the beach for a ride along the bike path with the Pacific Ocean as your backdrop. Feeling extra adventurous, grab the long board and experience why this town is called “Surf City” and in the summertime, hosts the biggest surfing contest on the planet (US Open of Surfing)—epic waves here!

Head upstairs and you’ll find the front door to this sweet hideaway. Walk in to wood floors, to the right is the darling kitchen (equipped with oven, microwave, stovetop, pots, pans, and all cooking/dining utensils and a Bose radio speaker system/Ipod hook up…turn on some music!), to the left is a desk/table perched in the windows set in trees (an awesome place to write, get work done, whatever), straight ahead of you is the living room dressed in art, good books and great light. To the right of the living room enters the door to the tranquil earth toned bedroom with a firm queen sized bed. Adjacent to the bedroom is the beachy bathroom which hosts a nicely pressured shower and a tiny but lounge-able tub perfect for cozily closing out a long day.

“Lovely rustic beach charmer”…yes, this is what you find here. If you appreciate the delightfully quirky beauty of an older place with good energy which offers all the basic amenities one needs then look no further. It really is a dreamy retreat.

A few things worth mentioning:

This space was founded on a modest dream of freedom, creativity and love and it wishes to positively inspire all who enter it.

Fresh towels and linens will be provided upon arrival (toiletries provided upon request).

Complete internet access (which includes Netflix for on demand movies) but ***NO TELEVISION*** (too much life to live for it to be squandered away sucked up by the tube-sorry :(

***well behaved pets considered for extended stay with extra deposit.

You will be on your own to enjoy your privacy but as your hostess I am relatively local and will be easily accessible for any assistance.

Thanks in advance for your consideration!

My wife and I had an exceptional experience staying at Jules' airbnb house. This was for a number of reasons, one of which is just that Jules is both a great person and a great host. The rustic beach charmer is located in a convenient part Huntington Beach, walking distance to the water and to a large number of shops and restaurants. I liked walking around the neighborhood. Her house is decently sized and very comfortably furnished, and there is a nice yard with a hammock as well as a full kitchen. The house itself is also aesthetically pleasing, as Jules has filled it a number of interesting works of art and other objects. What really sets Jules apart is how much she cares about your experience staying at her place and how she is as a person. We asked to book at the last second, as we were delayed by a giant blizzard hitting the Northeast. She responded quickly and was able to get her place ready absurdly fast. Throughout our stay, she made sure that things were going well and was easy to get in touch with. Finally, when it was time for us to leave but when our flight status was in doubt (due to travel shenanigans in the North East) , she made an extraordinarily kind offer that would have made sure my wife and I had a place to stay if we were unable to leave. In short, I highly recommend staying with Jules. The place is great and she is an exemplary host. She deserves all the stars and more.

I was in town for a conference and Jules' place was the perfect spot to escape to at night. Beautifully decorated, quiet, and in a fabulous neighborhood that has everything you can possibly want. Although I didn't get to meet Jules in person, she was incredibly responsive with any questions I had throughout my stay. And her entire family was unbelievably accommodating - her dad dropped off a surfboard that I could use and her Aunt Jan made a special trip to bring over hangers. HIGHLY recommend this little sanctuary in the middle of Huntington Beach. Thank you Jules!!

From the beginning, Jules was very hospitable and was able to work with my late check in. I didn't get to meet Jules in person, but was able to speak with her on the phone and she was very sweet. She made sure that the check-in with her Aunt (who was such a sweetheart as well!) was smooth and if I had any questions. She always made herself available if I did need anything. Her place is very accurate with the pictures, if not even better when you see it in person. I really felt like I was at home and she had everything I needed for the kitchen. It was a very relaxing stay and highly recommend Jules beautiful treehouse-like home :)

Jules' beach charmer is just that. Her space is adorable -- decorated with collectibles from travels. The bed is also fabulously comfortable. Jules made us feel very welcome to Huntington Beach and was a pleasure to work with.

As soon as we met Jules, she felt like a friend more than a host! This was our first airbnb experience and we could not have asked for a better visit! She was so helpful with the perfect recommendations, because of her we found our new breakfast burrito place! Being breakfast fanatics, that was everything! But we rented on Christmas Day, she fit us in, and throughout our stay was readily available for anything if we needed it. I appreciated the heater she left with us, it was a lifesaver. The place was perfect, I loved every inch of it, I appreciated every personal touch, it was clean, cozy, and serene. We stayed here for our Anniversary Weekend get away, and it was just awesome! She was awesome! I cannot wait to comeback!

"Don't ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive."-H.T. I've been rooted for awhile now but it's time for this leaf to freely blow in the wind for a bit. Take my place and love it as much as I do- it will love you back. Sweet little cabinesque house at the beach.
