With stunning mountain views, kangaroos grazing at your doorstep and a roaring open log fire, the Redgum Cottage creates a space to step back from the hectic pace of modern life.

The cottage offers you 60 acres of beautiful native bushland as your own secluded getaway. A place to unwind and reconnect with life’s simple pleasures, exquisite sunrises, glorious sunsets and some well-earned downtime all set at the foot of the Grampians National Park.

The space
As you arrive at the Redgum Log Cottage you will feel its welcome and know you have arrived at a unique and beautiful place for you to relax and experience the kind of rural escape you’ll always remember.

This hand built cottage has arisen from many recycled and restored materials such as redgum log slabs saved from the forestry, pine kitchen cupboards of New Zealand kauri pine found in the old St Arnaud Flour Mill. Even the sunburst on the Range Hood comes from an Australian built 1925 H.V.McKay, ‘Sunshine’ grain harvester.

Guest access
We live on site at the reception building so we will greet you when you check in and then we will be around to help if you require any further assistance during your stay.

Other things to note
The Redgum Cottage in one of four cottages set on 60 acres so it's a quiet peaceful area, with plenty of space between each cottage to give you total privacy. It's a safe environment for child to roam freely and we have many native animals residing on the property including kangaroos and emus. Plus free range chickens that are very popular with guests. There is a parking area by the cottage and walking tracks within the property for you to enjoy. There is also a large shared BBQ area for guests. We are 10kms from the centre of Halls Gap.
