About this listing

The space

Cross a somewhat secret passage and at the very end, a door opens onto a wooden staircase that leads you to an old carpentry and our house, built within the old stone and glass workshop, overlooking a garden and sheltered from the winds, like a ryad.

Palm trees, olive trees and vines come alive in the small garden and the first sunrays reveal the charm and beautiful colors of agapanthus flowers.

A quiet haven in the heart of the city, you can picture Pierre Loti in his beautiful home or strolling in the old quarters. You no longer encounter Icelander fishermen in the harbor but there are now beautiful sailboats, fishermen and oyster growers who will surely enchant your taste buds.

Paimpol is a lively city where painters have settled and right in front of our passageway, DI MIGUELLE’s workshop unveils dynamic energy and color explosions. You can also discover other workshops around the city.

Feel like reading? A beautiful library is nearby.

You might also visit the small ocean museum to complete your discovery of this impressive area or the costume museum, stowed in a small fisherman house: a step back to look into the past without artifice.

A stroll on a neighboring trail, breathing in the powerful sea air, will take you to the beaches and a natural pool.

Follow in Loti’s footsteps to discover the beautiful coast lulled by the tides. The widows wall in Ploubazlannec will reveal the seamen’s hard life, those leaving for Iceland … but not always returning … And you can almost hear Brassens. He came here for inspiration, in his house in Loguivy de la Mer.

The isle of Bréhat, a "jewel" of the sea, can be discovered on foot or by bike (there are no cars on the island), visit its abbey, Abbaye de Beauport, and its beautiful garden and Tréguier with its cloister, where rest the relics of Saint Yves, patron of lawyers.

Need a car? No … a little train will take you to the main train line of Paris/Brest. This little train line winds its way along the Trieux river and lets you off in Guingamp. A lovely ride with numerous stops allowing you to ride along for part of the walking trail and return on foot. Get off at Pontrieux, an ancient city on the Trieux and discover its remarkable stone fountain and very old houses.

Do you want to sail? The Glénans school is only 250 meters away from our house.

You are contemplative, a hiker or into sports? The choice is yours. And, if you still want more, recent films are featured at an associative cinema located some 300 meters from our home.

If you're visiting lovely Paimpol and looking for a quiet and peaceful setting in the middle of the town you can’t do better than this. Marie and Jean-Marc were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable and went out of their way to make sure we had a comfortable and pleasant stay, without being in any way intrusive. This little cocoon is bright, modern and tasteful with everything we needed for our ten day stay. Thank you very much - a five-star experience!
