Concerning your stay:
You'll find most information about Copenhagen online, so here's a few tips on sites that'll help you plan.
For restaurant, café and night life guides, you can visit or If you are longing for a more quiet time then you’re encouraged to visit the cozy Christianshavn's beboerhus (Dronningensgade 34) nearby which is open from Monday-Saturday, where you can buy a simple but good dish for 45kr. or 65 kr.
If interested in art, the best way to find out about current shows in small galleries etc. is at
You'll find a journey planner covering all public transport at If you wish to explore Copenhagen like a Copenhagener, meaning on a bike, you can rent bikes only 300 m from my flat in Dronningensgade.
HEAT: The heating is on, but in case you're getting cold you can regulate it at the radiators - the
position '3' is equal to 22 degrees, so you'll probably not need to put the thermostat higher than that. Please set
it back at '2' when leaving the flat.
COOKING:The cooking plates run on gas and you ignite them by0 pushing the button inward while turning it clockwise to the
flame symbol. You'll then hear a series of clicks which is the electric ignition of the gas. When the flame
catches on, you turn the button further clockwise to adjust the size of the flame. If you turn the button clockwise as far as possible the pot will stay hot without burning the dinner (not infinitely of course). To turn offyou
turn the button counter-clockwise (which is opposite of how to limit the size of the flame).
The oven is an electric oven.
BATHROOM: The calcium content in Danish water is really high. This means that if you don't swipe off
the walls and floor after showering everything will soon become covered with lime. So please use the swiper, thank you.
The swiper is situated on the bathroom floor and the washcloth can be foundunder the bathroom sink).
CLEANING: Please leave the flat clean and tidyand you'll avoid the 70€ cleaning fee and I'll avoid having to coordinate having someone come and do it before the next guests arrive. You'll find the vacuum cleaner in the sleeping room and the equipment for washing the floors in the bathroom at the left side of the closet.
You can put waist in the plastic containers in the courtyard.
