DI makes every effort to make sure you are comfortable in her apartment. On the hot, summer day my family and I arrived, we were greeted with the air conditioner running and cold drinks in the refrigerator. DI provided plenty of towels, sheets and amenities (i.e., toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, soaps, etc.) for our three week stay. The kitchen was equipped with all the necessities (i.e., small coffee maker, toaster, microwave, plates, spatulas, pans, kettle, etc.). This apartment is conveniently located next to a big drug store and a variety of restaurants. A grocery store specializing in organic/healthy food choices is just across the street making it easy to stock up on the necessities for your trip. As noted in previous comments, there is definitely street noise. Ironically though, my children seemed to enjoy the excitement out on the street, more than watching television. DI obviously wants her guests to be comfortable in her apartment and it shows in what she provides her guests.

There wasn't enough toilet paper. And they tried to charge late checking in fee but there is nothing mentioned about that in the policy or a warning at least. I hope there are more stuff in the kitchen though. Besides that the location is good. I do like the place

Great location on the corner of 73rd st and 1st ave. Beyond that this is a very modest apartment with minimal amenities that should be reserved for the no frills traveler. make sure you have the correct address as the one posted was incorrect. Make sure all the keys work.

Location was perfect. The elevator building was old hence there was a heavy odor. The apartment was facing 1st Avenue hence there was a lot of noise. If you have sleeping problems, probably it is not for you. The bus stop was right in front of building and the subway station was 1 block away. There was a 24 hr open Duane Read on the same block which was very handy. The linens and towels were clean but the window openings etc needed a better cleaning.

The place has an amazing location. It is in a residential part of Manhattan, so there are great restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. If you like to see what NYC living is like, this is a great option. It is well connected to the rest of the city - a couple blocks to the new 2nd Ave Subway (Q line) that in 3 stops takes you to Times Square. The place has all necessary amenities, and the elevator was definitely a plus. The place is large for NYC standards, and very comfortable. Overall, we loved our stay here and would definitely recommend to others.
