Buttafuoco was the nickname of Francesco Maria Asquer, Viscount of Fluminimaggiore, so named for the impetuous character that he was able to show during the defense of Cagliari from the French between 1792 and 1793 and in other episodes of his adventurous life.
The apartment is situated within one of the palaces of the family Asquer, opposite the Cathedral and the old Town Hall, right on the "plazuela" in the center of the district of Castello, once a hub of city life and scenery of the executions most striking .
