Luca was a nice and flexible host, but he wasn't able to meet us. He had a friend meet us. Just be careful if you are driving as the address given actually sent us to Corniglia (the same address existed in both Corniglia and Vernazza). As some mentioned, Luca's place could be a bit damp. There is a dehumidifier, so definitely turn that on when you arrive. The location is great in Vernazza but can definitely get to be noisy as it is on one of the hiking routes to Corniglia. Vernazza is a great town, hopefully you enjoy your stay!

Wonderful location. We had an issue with the smell of the apartment, and locating the parking. We had thought the parking was free to use, but it was 20 euro a day.

Response from Luca:
Issues are only a matter of is the CC of my message to you to clear up misunderstandings with future guests: Luca:"Hallo, reservation done, here are all the necessary info for your C-IN/OUT (...) Checkin time 230 to 430 pm (...) they will ask you the city tax of 1€ per day per person cash upon arrival (...) Let me know if everything is clear. If there is something “strange” that you notice, please let me know asap, because most of the issues are really simple to get rid of. :) All the best Luca I have a camp bed for the baby if you need. Let me know. We hire a carport in town for 20€ a day. It costs circa the same as the public one, but our is only 5 minutes walk from the apt." (...) Nicole:" That would be lovely. How would we locate your parking spot?" And that's the story folks. ps. after one hour from arrival you asked to stay 2 nights only. after 3 hours you asked to stay one night only (???because of the smell???)...then at 1130 am of the second day you were still in bed after all it was not so awful.

The apartment was in a great part of Vernazza and roomy. It was as pictured in Airbnb. Some people we met did not get the same apartment as listed. Luca arranged for us to pick up the key from someone at the souvenir shop at the train station and he carried our bags to the apartment. The only problem with the apartment smelled musty and moldy. We did discover a dehumidifier on the last night there and when we turned it on, it did seem to help with the dampness somewhat. There was construction on an apartment next door that started at 7am each morning and continued all day. I know Luca has no control over the noise from the construction. I would recommend ear plugs for sure. All in all, we liked the place. Thanks, Luca, for this space. Shirley and David

Response from Luca:
Ciao Shirley, i'm sorry for the moldy smell, we are doing our best to cancel it, but in late august we had a broken pipe in the shower wall. The real problem is that we noticed it when water came out of the wall in the end. We think it has run out for a long time soaking first the walls and floor and then coming outside. This october we will have a brand new bathroom changing everything (new pics will be posted soon) and i'm sure no more musty smell will be perceived. Luca

Fantastic location and perfect house for four. We had a wonderful time on Cinque Terre, especially Vernazza. The apartment is absolutely lovely. We cooked some great meals in the kitchen. I definitely recommend staying here. Great host too!

We really enjoyed our stay at Luca's place. We appreciated the artistic design of the space and were very comfortable there. The location can't be beat--just steps from the main road in town and not far from the harbor or the train station. Luca was quick to respond when we had questions. Highly recommended.

Luca's place was in a really good location. Even though he couldn't be there to greet us, he had arranged for someone from the train station to assist with our luggage and show us around the apartment. The place was quite spacious and very clean, but as previously mentioned by other guests, the neighbourhood can be noisy in the morning. He is kind enough to provide stuff like coffee, tea, toiletries etc. He was really informative and responsive about our questions, and fixed any problems as soon as possible. I would definitely recommend this place.
