Vintage truck converted into small studio apartment. We're located 15 minutes from Torquay on a biodynamic farm. The architecturally designed truck has a double bed, kitchen area, potbelly stove, beautiful views, and offers a unique farm experience. Studio Truck designed and built by Rob Scott of Hollyburton Farm.

The space
Once a horse truck, this renovated 1970 dodge is now an architecturally designed studio apartment. The truck design maximises the space allowing for a large loft bedroom area and small combined kitchen and living space, with a pot belly fire. The space can comfortably accommodate 3 adults, with options for 1-2 children. The potbelly stove, electric hot plate and barbecue are available for cooking. Guests will wake up to a beautiful view over the wetlands and Thompson's creek.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire truck, which contains a compost toilet and running water. Guests also have access to a full bathroom (hot water), shower, laundry trough and flushing toilet 100m away. This is a shared space with other guests. Toilet and shower are separated.

Other things to note
Guests who stay on a Tuesday or Wednesday night are welcome to participate in our Wednesday community vegetable gardening group. Join us , have fun and learn some more skills about growing your own food organically.

Our Freshwater Creek farm, located 15mins from Torquay and the Great Ocean Road, is the perfect location for a peaceful getaway, and it is only a short drive to a variety of local beachs. Common Ground Cafe is walking distance. It is open Wednesday to Sunday from 8 am - 4 pm. Most of the food sold in the cafe is grown organically on the farm and it is delicious. Lovely gardens, playground and coffee.
Walk to the cake shop or common ground cafe via the Freshwater Creek Reserve. Just ask Mary Rose for directions

I'm a mother of 2 grown up girls, we live on a small biodynamic farm. I'm an environmentalist, and a member of local Landcare, land for wildlife, the biodynamic gardener's association and Rewilding Freshwatercreek. I also support the neighbouring Freshwater Creek Steiner School and teach farming. Animals on my farm include horses, cows, ducks, chooks, 2 pet sheep, 2 dogs-Beanie and Gus. We have a big orchard and community vegetable garden
