2.2 miles from Rose Bowl Stadium, 3.7 from parade start nestled in a quiet, tree-filled neighborhood in the hills near everything people come to Pasadena for.
Located in a natural setting, this mid-century modern gem feels like a treehouse only with the creature comforts of home. Surrounding trees enhance a sense of privacy.
Two friendly but shy cats reside here. Though they may try to convince otherwise they aren't permitted in the guest room.
En suite full bath.
A mini-refrigerator can be moved into guest room upon request.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the large deck (and use the xl gas grill on it), front patio, kitchen, living/dining area and powder room.
Carport parking available.
Interaction with guests
I work in the detached office & am happy to provide suggestions if asked, but mainly will respect guests' privacy.
The ongoing drought is taken seriously & guests are presumed to do the same.
Respect for all beings & property, please.
No smoking in or near the house.
No illegal drugs or use of internet.
What I love about where we live is the trees, birds (including owls, falcons & hawks), bobcats & coyotes and that we're only about a 20 minute drive to downtown L.A. It's quiet here. Kids actually play outside.
Privacy & quietude are key for me and hence for guests.
Reading (a wide array of books) every night before going to sleep is a life-long habit and often serves as an escape and an education.
Walking is my joy and I don't do nearly enough of it.
I listen to KPCC for everything but music. For music I listen to KKJZ, KCRW's Eclectic24 & KUSC every chance I get.
I like to transform stuff into brand-new-used, if not useful, then at least whimsical stuff. You'd have to see it to appreciate it.
We have 3 friendly cats, 2 of whom brave the great outdoors during the day (and sometimes at night, but not if we can help it).
I don't like talking about myself.
