The place was very clean and had a great modern feel to it. I can definitely see why it has been very popular among airbnb users. The place had a very traveler-friendly atmosphere to it and we had a very comfortable stay. The hosts were very accommodating and were very good with communication. The whole process of checking in and out was very straightforward and convenient. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the area!

The house is big and confortable. Close to shin-omiya train station 1 stop away from Nara. 7 eleven right in front and nice restaurants near by. The cleanliness could be improved and toilets a bit old and in need of refreshment. But overall a nice stay and host very responsive to our needs. A nice welcome dossier full of instructions and useful information.

This is a definitely the largest apartment that we stayed in Japan. Two large rooms on top of small living room and dinner table area. There is all the basic stuff (oil, seasoning, etc) you need for cooking lunch or dinner. Sleeping on futons, as you would expect. Wifi works like a charm. There is a bit of a walk (10 min?) to the apartment from train station and twice of that to Nara park. Also, the apartment is on fourth floor and there is no elevator. This is one of many apartments that the owner rents through Airbnb. So this is nobodys home, just a furnished apartment for rent. Nevertheless the owner had time to visit us to show how the washing machine works and bring more detergent. I would recommend staying here.

Spacious for two would easily accommodate 2 couples or a family. Close to JR station, easy short can ride; we had enough luggage to make that the best way to get there. Close to restaurants, but you will need to take transit to get to Nara Park. Tarbo and (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps made that easy. Place had everything you would need. Washer a plus. Be aware you will have to carry your luggage up 4 floors. Easiest check-in and out ever. Would happily rent again. A good break after small accommodations.

We've had a very nice experience staying at Tarbo & Kenta's place. The place was close to the JR railway station and well equipped. We also liked the fact that is was very spacious. You can easily reach the main attractions in Nara from the apartment. Check-in/check-out was easy and communication was great. We recommend this place to anyone visiting Nara.

Hello, Bonjour and 你好 everyone! I'm Tarbo.

I am super friendly, outgoing, and down to earth. One of my favorite pastimes is socializing with other people. And also, I love reading books. I’m more interested in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and philosophy than manga and anime. Sorry for all you Japanese manga and anime lovers!

I was born in Osaka, but grew up in Kyoto and am now living in Nara. Also, I used to live in Tokyo, Nagoya and Fukuoka, which means I know about most of the big cities in Japan. I studied Architecture in Boston, Massachusetts. After coming back to Japan, I decided to start my own design company called “Shortline,” where we design graphics and build websites. One of the big projects we worked on was a logo for UNEP.

I decided to start Airbnb because I want to meet people from around the globe, travel all over the world and become more fluent in English. In addition, I am currently learning French and Chinese and I want to use this opportunity to learn more languages. Also, I’ll love to teach you all some Japanese or bad bad Japanese slang if you’d prefer. I’m really excited to learn about new cultures and teach you about mine. However, I'm not referring to superficial information like who’s famous now and etc., but much deeper things such as the problems of your country, immigrants, religion, politics, minorities, sexual customs, new technologies and new venture businesses. But yeah we don't have to talk about these kinds of things if you’re not interested. Just enjoy playing with the deer and enjoy Japan. Let's have tons of fun!
