The Bush & Gables is a beautiful, private, self-catered Bush Lodge.
It is set in a natural Bushveld environment where wild animals still roam free, enabling you to enjoy a true Bushveld experience with more than just a touch of luxury.
The cool, thatched, lodge sleeps 10 people privately and 2 extras on the sleeper couch in the upstairs library. The uniquely decorated Private, Luxury Bedrooms are air-conditioned and en-suite, leading onto a private patio.
The comfy, double-volume Lounge and upstairs Library nurtures relaxation, while the Sitz-pool refreshes after an exciting game drive or walk. A twin sleeper, self-contained and air-conditioned Cottage caters for extra guests.

Experience the ambience of Bushveld evenings in the large Boma, around the warmth of a fire, with the aroma of a Barbeque, and the glistening star-filled canopy overhead while listening to sounds of hippos, hyenas, lions and other bushveld creatures.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS CAREFULLY:
1.Marloth Park is a nature reservation area. Animals always have right of way and should not be disturbed in any way, or fed.
2.Please be aware that there are animals around that are potentially dangerous to you and your children. If you happen to see any spiders, snakes or scorpions, please do not disturb or threaten them in any way as they may retaliate and cause nasty stings or bites. Larger animals including warthog and zebra may look friendly and approach you, but they remain wild animals and should be treated as potentially dangerous.
3.Keys to be collected from Field Security at "Bush Centre" and returned on departure. Lost keys will be charged for.
4.Main water feed to be put 'on' on arrival and ‘off’ on departure - Located at entrance on driveway.
5.Due to monkeys, garbage must be removed when you vacate. Garbage bin (cage) located at entrance to property.
6.Sit pool can be filled upon arrival and drained on departure. Please do not fill the pool if you will not be using it.
7.SEPTIC TANK - No foreign objects/matter please. No Jik/HandyAndy etc. - Use only the cleaning materials provided.
8.No paraffin lanterns or open flames permitted on decks.
9.Premises to be cleaned before departure, cleaning service will be arranged at R180-00. If you require a maid every day, this can be arranged with Liezel 2 weeks in advance - the daily rate is R180-00, payable directly to the cleaning lady.
10.Monkeys are cute, but if they get the opportunity to enter the house, they will cause damage. Please ensure to close all doors and windows securely when you leave the house for a walk or drive. You will be held responsible for damage caused by monkeys.
11.Please respect your neighbours and other visitors to the Park by not playing loud music or making unnecessary noise. Kindly note that Field Security will remove unruly guests and, if this happens, no refunds will be made.
12.No littering is permitted, if monkeys get into garbage, it is the guests’ responsibility to remove all litter/garbage.
13.No removing of wood from the veld for fire wood, twigs, etc. (This is illegal and subject to a fine).
14.Strictly NO SMOKING in house.
15.Linen and towels are provided for your comfort. Please do not leave wet towels on the floor.

Born in Montagu in the Boland. Moved around in South Africa & Namibia during childhood. Ended up in Cape Town where I finished High School, moved to Johannesburg for just over 8 years, and back to Cape Town in 1999. Shortly after relocated to the Middle East - first to Muscat, Oman (2001-2004), then Doha, Qatar (2005 to 2014). Missed Cape Town, 14 years is a long time .... now back and loving it!
