The space

This beautiful, casual, historic home, set in a residential neighborhood just 1.5 miles from the beach, is the oldest and best example of the Craftsman style of architecture found in the village of Seaside on the Monterey Peninsula. Built in 1910 by the Phelps family and located on a half-acre property, surrounded by organic gardens with private, gated parking, this property has views of Monterey Bay and town. Seaside is considered to be the sunniest place on the Bay.

Spa Bath Robes and bath towels. We supply Dr Bronners soap but you will want to bring shampoo and toiletries. Continental breakfast served in the dining room each morning, featuring an organic and/or natural selection. Access to washer/dryer/iron.
Rooms are cleaned with environmentally friendly products.

A great find! A beautiful house in which we were truly welcomed and made to feel at home. The bed was so comfortable which meant a good nights sleep was had by both of us. A great sociable breakfast which set us up for our day of exploring. Thanks so much for the tips - great sandwiches from across the road and great sights along Highway 1 - the elephant seals were great! Thanks for being great hosts.

The Historic House in Seaside is a characterful, comfortable place to stay if you have a car and want to tour around the area - Monterey, Carmel, whale watching etc. There are a number of bedrooms let, and your hosts generously encourage you to use the common areas and pretty garden. All very relaxed and delicious breakfast.

Lovely b&b with amazing hosts, so friendly. The room was exactly like the photos, breakfast was excellent and everything taken care of. Plenty of parking too for those with a car. Couldn't ask for anything better, even had a cookie jar ;)
