Mary was an excellent host. Check in timely and perfect; and it was cool to hear the story of the cabin and how her family built it and restore it. Anybody looking for a getaway destination and a place to relax should definitely keep Mary in consideration.

Well equipped cabin left us wanting for nothing. Lake is pristine and beautiful with opportunities to boat, canoe or kayak. Great homebase to explore north woods from as well as spend the day at the cabin gazing out at the lake.

This cabin was perfect for a long weekend getaway. It had everything we needed for cooking our own meals. We grilled on the charcoal grill too. We used the bikes and kayaked on the empty, serene lake. It was only 2 miles into town and we visited a local bar on our first night. We also hiked on the North Country Trail that is only a couple of miles away. If you like outdoor activities, peace and quiet, this is the cabin for you. The cabin was also immaculate and perfect for the two of us. I hope to go back in the future!

Our family of three generations spent several lovely fall days at this beautiful place on Spider Lake that was an historic log cabin restored wonderfully by Mary's family. Just the right size for a small group to get away and forget about the crazy real world. Loved the screened porch and spent much time out there, complete with a ceiling fan that was greatly appreciated as it got a bit warm. The younger folks used the kayaks & canoe provided to check out this small but beautiful lake and share some space with the eagles and loons nearby. A nice firepit is provided which we took advantage of one evening to share some special time together and burn a few marshmallows! Quiet (except for one night where a neighbor was working on a project too late) & comfortable and room to stretch out, close to everything you need in Iron River, and close to the greatest lake, Bayfield & the Apostle Islands...ahhh....

Very quiet cabin on a small lake with beautiful views! We enjoyed the provided water crafts, the comfortable beds, and the many games and dvds. The screened-in porch was a dream. Highly recommend!

Great little cabin on nice lake for paddling, close to lake Superior (25 min) and many hiking trails. Our family loved our few days here before the start of a new school year.

This cute cabin tucked away in Iron River is a true gem! My friends and I are so lucky to have chosen this place for our girls weekend! Although it wasn't very close to much of the action (we went up to kayak sea caves) we LOVED it and didn't mind having to drive to get to good hikes/kayaking. It was great to be unplugged for the weekend! Mary was awesome and gave us the low-down on the cabin and the area just minutes after we arrived (Try the Delta Diner!). She has the place decorated perfectly and because she has the kitchen fully stocked with utensils, pots/pans, etc., we were able to save money and make the majority of our meals at the cabin! We grilled out and made a campfire, but because of rain weren't able to use the canoe/kayak/boat she has by the dock. Every other airbnb host needs to take notes from Mary. She was absolutely perfect and we will most definitely be back!
