Only 300 metres to Oneroa Village and beautiful beach, bus route and 2k from ferry. Easy few minutes walk to all amenities in a quiet street surrounded by parks, trees and NZ bird life. Refreshing Classic Waiheke sunny studio and view to wake up to.

The space

Walking up steps away from the road grassed entry to reach the elevated cottage will find you at sunny Kuaka Cottage. Your separate private studio entry located behind the owners cottage off a rear, new decked area, is with a fresh outlook of east facing morning sun. The backyard garden is a relaxed spot for refreshment and your break away between island adventures. Vineyards and cafes, beaches and parks are all close to home.
Make your tea or coffee and toast to set up the morning outing planned.

Guest access

Studio Deck area entry and around the rear is all yours to enjoy outdoors. Space on the deck enough to do your morning yoga stretching and enjoy the sun rise.
The kitchenette has new fridge, toaster for your sliced bread and microwave. A closet for clothes and extra space for bags storage.
Fresh Rainwater supply on Waiheke is stored (large tank on site shared by owner), so your care and consideration for use is appreciated. Foldaway compact bed extra available on request if required and suitable for child.

Interaction with guests

I will be contactable if needed for any assistance and will be happy to provide information to assist you in your stay.
The Tourist Information Centre office is closeby, as are Banks and the Post Office, Fire Station, Police and Doctors- all located within 5 minutes walk.

Other things to note

There is limited limited street lighting on Waiheke so most locals carry a small torch (mobile phone light) for night time venturing out under starry skies. Paved footpaths are limited so casual shoes (and barefoot) are great for Waiheke island.

I loved staying in Lois' cute little cabin in her garden, it was a retreat away from the rest of the world. It's perfectly positioned, a three minute walk to the cafes and beach on the main street in Oneroa, yet still peaceful with wonderful views. Lois was a great host and very friendly. I'd definitely recommend staying at this magic little place.

We really enjoyed our stay here and our interactions with the homeowner. The location is a 2 minute walk into Oneroa and central to everything. The host had the cottage stocked with some lovely options. The wifi is strong and you get your own private porch and large backyard. The space is really cute and the owner is not intrusive, which we loved. This was our first airbnb experience and we had hesitations because we didn't want to have to interact with a pushy owner. We emailed back and forth with Lois and never met in person. She would have been happy to meet us but she gave us our privacy, which was ideal! We highly recommend this spot!

Lois was a great host - I made my reservation the same day and she was very accommodating for check-in. The cottage is adorable, cosy and a quick walk to all of the great things Oneroa has to offer. I would highly recommend this place and hope to come back again someday!

The stay was absolutely wonderful. The sleep out was charming and had everything we needed. There was a heater and heated blankets so we were plenty warm. Lois was kind enough to give us some chocolate bars on arrival. We had plenty of privacy and when we saw Lois she was kind as ever. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay at Waiheke. Very close to Oneroa town but also secluded.

Great location, one block from Oceanfront Rd, just behind Oyster Bay Inn. Short walk to beach, 10 min walk from the ferry. Back house is completely separate with bathroom and small kitchen, so you have plenty of privacy and a great view. Lois had the whole place set up with coffee, snacks and all the amenities. Highly recommend.
