The house is stunning, and suited our Bohemian lifestyle. There were plenty of places in the house to come together as a group or to escape to a peaceful area to read a book or have some personal space. The views over the paddy fields were breath-taking and quite possibly the last in this part of Bali. The daily Yoga lessons, organised by the staff, in the garden were a perfect start to the day. It is such a peaceful haven! Tika and Ani and the rest of the staff were all delightful and went the extra mile to indulge our difficult demands, and look after my daughter Gabby . The chef ensured we were served delicious organic food, as specially ordered, and even created some gluten free dishes for the fuzzy girl’s appetite. The beds were super comfortable and luxurious bed linen. Looking forward to coming back.

We booked Kebun House for a last minute short Easter break from Singapore with our three young children (8, 7 and 3 years). Having only stayed for three days, we only wish we could have stayed longer! The villa surpassed all expectations in terms of accommodation, location and the amazing staff, who catered to our every need and were always willing to go the extra mile. Our host Elizabeth was very efficient in providing us with all the info we needed ahead of the trip. It was an easy journey in from the airport of 30-40mins and our host organised to have us picked up, which made our arrival hassle free. Though not far from Seminyak, the last part of the journey takes you into rural Bali and Kebun House is just off the Umalas road down a narrow lane. When you arrive you are immediately struck by the expansive views across the paddy fields. The villa is beautiful and airy with an incredibly lush and open garden, with a huge lawn (ideal for frisbee and badminton!). We were met on arrival by the staff, who were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We were greeted with fresh young coconut water and delicious home made spring rolls. The whole villa is decked with wooden floors throughout, which gives it a cool yet homely feel. The decoration is simple Balinese style, with carved doorways and antique furniture and paintings. All the bedrooms pretty large, apart from the master bedroom which is huge and looks out over the pool one way and paddy fields the other. It also has its own balcony, which is a great place to chill but still keep an eye on kids in the wonderful pool. All the beds had with fresh crisp cotton sheets and puffed up pillows. The bathrooms are amazing and all come with delicious soaps, shampoos etc. There is also a chill out area to watch TV in the master bedroom, which was great for kids or a movie. We gave the staff money to buy food every day, having decided what we wanted to eat in the mornings. We had a mixture of Indonesian and Western food and had everything from Nasi Goreng to Pizza. We had one of the best Gado-Gado's we have ever had one evening! Breakfasts were delicious with local coffee, freshly squeezed juice, fresh fruit, pancakes or eggs and delicious sausages or bacon if that is your bag. It's the perfect villa to hang out in all day because if feels so much like a home and has so much space. If you do want to leave, it is close to a number of different beaches in Canggu and Seminyak. I ran to the closest beach in around 20 minutes one day and there is also a lot of good surfing to be had nearby. There is also an abundance of good restaurants and shopping in Seminyak just down the road.
