We had a lovely time in Darjeeling and the hospitality of the family was wonderful. Breakfast was huge! The location was good with a short walk to Chowrasta. The accommodation is at the top of the building above the family home and part of it is also accessed by the family which means that it is not very private and we were worried about disturbing the family every time we came back. For that reason we were careful to be back early each evening. Paulzor is a superb host who gave us lots of tips about where to go and also organised transportation for us at a reasonable rate.

Heyagriva was the perfect homestay where the entire house was for you and the view was fantastic. Host (Paulazor) along with his family took great care of me as if I was a part of their family. Neema the cook was ready with tea / food whatever I requested. Paulazor was also helpful in providing the correct directions along with the map. I really felt happy and satisfied staying there.

Paulzor is a great host, made us feel very comfortable. He went out of the way to take us around despite bad weather. He has the perfect home - clean, amazing view and has everything you need including good wifi. Food was homely and delicious. Having morning tea in the terrace with the mountain view is serene. Finding this place is a little hard but Paulzor always helped us around. It is about 15 mins walk from chowrasta.

Paulzor is an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING Host. The place is beautiful, quiet and overlooks a scenic valley from where you can see stunning sunrises. It is a 15-minute walk from the chowrasta, which is a bit much, however overall the place is absolutely a must stay. Paul is very knowledgeable about the mountains, the city and is an extremely kind and great host with very good hospitality. This place is a must stay, you won't be disappointed. He will even help arrange transport to and from the airport, to the sightseeing places, restaurant recommendations and a lot of other things. If you are coming to Darjeeling, you MUST stay here and you must get in touch with Paul.

We had a most enriching 4-night stay at Paulzor's Aunt's apartment. We were warmly welcomed and made to feel part of the family. Enjoyed many late night conversations with Paulzor on the Tibetan traditions and cultures. Found his hands-on advice invaluable. Wonderful home-cooked breakfasts every morning. We enjoyed the walk up to Tiger Hill, and a misty morning spent at the monastery at Observatory Hill. One of our first homestay experiences, and we came away with so much more. The best way to submerge yourself into a culture - couldn't recommend it more.

I'd rate it six stars if possible!!! It was the first home stay that I’ve done, and not by choice. However, it’s hard to say which part of the experience was better: Paulzor (the owner) who helped us with everything from finding an apartment and a motorcycle, the food – made fresh daily served with local tea, the comfortable rooms with fluffy blankets, or the amazing sweeping views of the mountains and villages. Highly recommended – in fact, when my mom comes to visit, I’ll suggest she stay here over a hotel. Really – we had better service than the Hilton! Unexpected review! Great experience! Try the "Paulzor Breakfast Special Sandwich"!

Nice place to stay, Paulzor's family hosted us well. Great dinner.
