Worked just fine- Internet did not work the first night but they fixed it in the morning. The place was adequate for our last minute needs in visiting the city

We enjoyed our stay but it was perfect for what we needed!

So this place was great! Plain, but it's advertised as such, and let's be serious, it had EVERYTHING we needed! We were on vacation and barely there! There were a number of us there and we had plenty of space, it really is just a short walk to the street car and then a straight shot all the way down Canal from there! The hosts were always available and sent little notes through the week of other things to do and see....very nice to get those since we hadn't thought of some of them! Thanks for everything!!!

When we arrived, the ceiling in the bedroom was leaking. We put out a trashcan and notified the host. They said that there would be someone arriving to fix it in the morning. The next day, we heard someone on the roof, and eventually the leak stopped. The host never asked if they could inspect the damage from the inside. On Day 3 afternoon, THE CEILING IN THE BEDROOM FELL IN. There was insulation hanging from the ceiling, debris on the floor, and mold all over the walls/floor/our clothes (the ceiling fan had been on when the ceiling collapsed, thus the spread of mold). We messaged the host asking how soon could they fix the ceiling - they didn't respond until our checkout time the next day. When we requested a partial refund, they blamed the weather for the collapsed ceiling, and told us that our expectations to have them repair the ceiling were unrealistic.

Response from New Orleans Properties:
This is a false and exaggerated account of what took place during a huge thunderstorm with very high winds. The winds blew roofing material off of many houses (New Orleans is well known for having severe weather throughout the year). The home lost some roofing material over a rear room allowing rain intrusion. Steve and his group didn't report the ceiling was dripping for nearly 24 hours, instead, Steve just put a wastepaper basket under the dripping ceiling. When Steve finally reported the leak in the ceiling, we had our roofers out to the house within 2 hours. We are a Construction and Property Management company, we have resources to fix anything but it has to be brought to our attention by the person(s) renting the home. A portion of the ceiling fell onto the floor exposing the insulation (There was no 'collapse' nor did 'the ceiling fall in'). Because the ceiling fan was on it caused some of the wet black felt paper to to hit a wall as it was coming down. It is this black felt paper that Steve is calling 'mold'. Steve asked us to repair the portion of the ceiling 'within one hour' or he said not to come until he leaves, we felt that short of a time frame to do a professional repair job was unrealistic. We apologized to Steve and his group for the ceiling leak and offered him a partial refund. Steve wanted a full refund from Airbnb, it wasn't granted, Steve accepted the partial refund from us. We can't control the severe weather here in New Orleans but we certainly can do prompt and proper repairs and that's exactly what we do.

Good location close to the tramcar or a quick uber drive to the quarter. Lots of sunlight, air conditioning was appreciated. Having a kitchen helped with not having to eat out every meal. The main drawback was only having 1 bathroom. We had some trouble with the gate lock but the property managers were very quick with getting it fixed.

Decent accommodations. Sheets were dirty but it wasn't the host's fault. They hire a cleaning service that didn't do their job. The host immediately corrected the issue. Parking can be an issue if multiple drivers are staying. Everyone parks along the street. The surrounding areas seem a little unsafe but we had no problems. The most concerning issue for us was that two of the smaller rooms immediately exit to the steep stairway. Very unsafe if you have kids or sleepwalkers.
