This AirBnB is in an organized and nice home. However, I had some really big issues. First, there was no glass in one of the four windows in my room (only a screen). This made my room so cold that I had two pairs of socks on, my coat, a scarf, and had to wear several blankets. Because of this, I was not able to sleep at all after my 36 hour flight to Australia. Thankfully, Momo gave me several extra blankets. Secondly, there was no towel in the bathroom!!!!!!!!!!!! I find this absolutely appalling, and have never experienced this at any AirBnB before. After taking a shower in the freezing cold bathroom (not sure why the bathroom is so cold, but it's terrible), I stepped onto the icy floor and had to wrap myself in several blankets. Thankfully, my coworker let me borrow a space heater and this saved my life. However, without a second space heater to put in the bathroom, I still had a really hard time. To be fair, it was unusually cold in Australia when I arrived. However, if the apartment lacks insulation in cold weather, then I imagine it's pretty awful with hot weather as well. Thirdly, I could not find cups or glasses anywhere in the kitchen, and had to drink out of bowels!!!!! I looked everywhere in the kitchen and cold not find a single glass or cup. Fourth, and most importantly, neither Momo nor her husband were very forthcoming or friendly. Neither shook my hand when they met me, and they mostly ignored me during my stay, making me feel like a complete nuisance. Fifth, there is very little noise insulation between the guest bedroom and the next room, with a shared bathroom. Sixth, the doors and locks are extremely stiff, but also seem to need repairs, and I found them annoyingly difficult to open, close, and lock. In conclusion, I think what gets me the most is that no one was very friendly or open with me, or very interested in interacting. I'm extremely outgoing and am elated to arrive in Australia, eager to talk about it, but all residents of this house seemed cold, possibly shy, and disinterested. This made me very uncomfortable. I ended up finding an apartment to live, and I left the freezing AirBnB early.

I wish I could stay a bit longer! Momo and Chang maintain their house in a very good condition. They made me feel at home. The room is very spacious and neat. The location is gold for me to work at the Mawson Lakes campus, Unisa (only 10-min walk). The train station is barely 3-minute walk from the house. Amazingly, the neighbourhood is peaceful and quiet. Their puppy, 'Butter', is purely adorable. I shared a bathroom with another roommate, which worked out just fine. If I come back to Mawson Lakes again, I will definitely airbnb with Momo and Chang.

The room itself was comfortable - good sized and comfortable bed & the bathroom was good. Momo herself was very accommodating after we met her on the third day, however the same can't be said for her husband, Chen. After trying to find the house for half an hour (the house itself wasn't on a street), I was greeted with a pretty angry text message saying that I haven't "responded at all" and that he didn't "know when we were coming", despite me sending messages saying when we arrived at the airport, that we were getting a late lunch after we landed, and that we were having issues finding the house (which several delivery guys had exactly the same problem as us when we ordered dinners to the house each night). Another issue was that we were sent the wrong address and were only sent the correct one after I couldn't find it on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps while on the bus to Mawson Lakes. Despite these issues, the house was very nice, with a beautiful, very friendly dog, but the accommodating factor from Chen is an issue. The experience was more positive after that first night, but first impressions do count.

Friendly hosts, my stay was relaxed and casual as name describes, close to transport and a short walk to Mawson Lakes shops.
