Welcome to Forest Nest, a dreamy A-frame holiday house near Ljubljana, located in the middle of the forest, on the hill of Ski-resort Krvavec. Nested with pure nature all around, offers complete privacy (no direct neighbors) and a perfect getaway from daily hassle and bustle.
We invite you to slow down, curl up with a good book and warm coffee, unwind in the wooden tub under the stars (extra cost 40€/heating) and enjoy the complete tranquility to create unforgettable memories.
The space
Inside the newly renovated, wooden A-frame holiday house, will greet you an open plan living, dining and kitchenette area with loft-style bedroom on the upper floor (steep stairs!). A modern designed bathroom with a view of the forest will make your showers breathtaking. For the cherry on the top, a terrace surrounded by pure nature and wooden tub will make your stay even more chill.
Please note: The heating of the wooden tub is not included in the price of stay (extra charge 40€/heating).
The Forest Nest has been perfectly finished by local, custom-crafted furniture and some thoughtfully sourced pieces. Giving our guests a luxury experience with the finest appliances, an automative coffee machine, air-conditioning, floor heating and the softest cotton sheets for the comfort of a hotel stay.
To make your stay care free, our holiday house is fully equipped with natural products (hand soap, body shower gel, dish soap) as well as fresh bed linen, bath towels, kitchenette essentials (salt & pepper, olive oil, coffee, tea...).
The mountain air invites you to recharge and enjoy multiple activities; from hiking, bike-riding on many marked bicycle routes, as well skiing in the winter time at the biggest Slovenian Ski-resort Krvavec.
Guest access
Access to Forest Nest property is private with self check in lock box and secure gates. Parking is waiting for you for up to 2 cars, 50m away from the holiday house. The house is not accessible by car. A 50m long, enlighted walking path through the forest will lead you from parking to the holiday house.
Other things to note
The Forest Nest is not suitable for individuals with mobility limitations due to its split-level arrangement and access. Please exercise caution when navigating the steep steps required to access the sleeping space.
While Forest Nest provides WiFi access, the mountainous terrain may result in a low or non-existent connection, particularly during adverse weather conditions.
Our A-frame house is perfect for nature lovers, but keep in mind that due to its compact design, the cabin heats up and cools down more quickly (for your comfort there is air-conditioning, a fan and floor heating). Remember to close windows when heating or cooling the cabin to maintain a comfortable temperature while reducing energy consumption.
Pets are not permitted on the property.
Please note that, for safety reasons any kind of fire on the property (smoking, grilling,...) is forbidden due to the danger of wildfires.
Please note, we reside on the property and we may cross paths during our daily walks or work around the property, as well our dogs may welcome you with barking and our cats might come to say hello. But do not worry we keep for ourselves as well our dogs are friendly and behind the fence. There is no neighbors in direct proximity but we still ask all our guests to be respectful of people and animals who reside close or on the property, taking extra care of their noise level.
The holiday house is located in a peaceful village area, without direct neighbors:
- 10 minutes drive from Slovenian's biggest airport (Ljubljana Brnik),
- 15 minutes drive from Ski-resort Krvavec ,
- 30 minutes from the capital Ljubljana,
- 30 minutes drive from Slovenian tourist treasure Bled.
For easier and more convenient exploration, we strongly recommend you to come with a car.
Important: Guests stay at the property at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety. The host is not liable for any accidents, injuries, loss, or theft.
Guests are responsible for any damage caused during their stay. Repair or replacement fees may apply.
WOODEN TUB:
We are delighted to offer our outdoor wooden tub as a special additional amenity for your stay! Treat yourself to a cozy soak and enjoy a little extra relaxation during your stay. Please read the details below to help you plan ahead:
The wooden tub is emptied and thoroughly cleaned before each guest’s arrival.
Upon request, we will fill it with fresh water and heat it for you. Please request this service at least 3 days before check-in so we can prepare everything in time. Extra charge: 40€/heating
Heating is available from September 15 to May 15.
From May 15 to September 15, the wooden tub can not be heated with wood due to local restrictions and fire safety measures. However, you are welcome to use it as a refreshing cold plunge or ice bath during the warmer months. It's a perfect way to cool down and relax after a summer hike or a hot day outdoors. You will fill it with fresh water yourself before use, no chemicals, no chlorine – just pure, fresh water (it takes 2-4 hours to fill it fully).
ADITIONAL AMENITIES:
Additional amenities are not included in the standard nightly rate. These are available only upon request and must be arranged at least 3 days before check-in. All additional services and amenities are subject to extra charges:
- BABY KIT (25€ per stay): includes a travel crib, high chair, baby dishes, baby bath and toys
- WOODEN TUB (40€ per heating): Available only from September 15 to May 15! Please note that in case of longer periods of dry weather, it may not be possible to use the wood stove due to local restrictions or fire safety measures. Heated upon request. Extra charge: 40 €/heating

For a variety of creative projects, the Forest Nest provides an ideal backdrop. Inquiries for photoshoots, filming or events hosting are warmly welcomed. Please inquire about these events before making a booking, pre-approval is necessary, and associated fees will apply.
If the number of guests exceeds the booking, additional fees will be incurred.
