Walk/bike to Cannery Row, Fisherman's Wharf, Monterey Aquarium, Recreation Trail from this quiet, spacious, bright, private, charming Victorian. Fully furnished, roomy, equipped kitchen, and large bathroom.

Three unit building, fenced garden.

Victorian claw foot tub may not be suitable for folks who might have difficulty climbing in to take a shower.

There is one, queen size bed. In a pinch the sofa can be used for sleeping, but it is not a sofa bed.

Guests have access to garden, and typically adequate, free street parking. Some local workers park on the street, but are largely gone by 4:30 p.m.

Other things to note

Monterey trash laws are strict Guests must 1) rinse empty food containers 2) separate trash and recycle items and 3) NOT put trash in outside bins but leave it inside the apartment for house cleaners to discard.

If something gets broken or damaged (permanently stained linens), the thing to do is advise me. Discovering bad surprises (glassware missing due to breakage, blinds broken, damage to furniture) necessitates the time to take action for repairs or replacement.

Thanks very, very much for using just the right amount of water for your needs. Despite the wonderful rains of the 2017 season, the Monterey Peninsula continues to suffer a permanent water shortage.

No smoking in or around the building, please. No parties.

It is essential to advise host of your desired arrival and departure, because these apartments are often booked and house cleaners must be carefully scheduled. and, it much appreciated if you find time to text as you are departing, so house cleaners can come in promptly.

Please remove every single food item, and leave used linens in a pile.

Than you for turning the heater off when you go out and when windows are open.

Please advise, regarding messy or inoperative items, or items that should be added for guest comfort. If there is an item important to your comfort that is not typically found in guest units, let us know before your arrival in case we can provide it.

Do not move the TV, or it may cause the connection to go out.

This is a great place to stay. It has a very cosy feel and is very well kitted out. You can even see the sea! Also a great location for accessing the local area, with the beach, recreational trail, cafes, aquarium and sea otters only a very short walk away. Come and stay here!

A great little apartment, centrally located for all Monterey sights. Also convenient for Carmel, Big Sur, 17 mile drive and Santa Cruz all of which are worth visiting. Some of the best beach front walks are just a few minutes walk away from the apartment.

We booked to stay here for five nights, but left after the first night. The main issue for us was the total lack of curtains. The apartment was in a residential area and its windows were overlooked by neighbouring buildings so it cannot be described as having "lots of privacy". We also did not want to be woken at dawn every morning while on holiday. The furnishing is a little dated but would be fine for people wanting a low-key base in Monterey. I think with refurbishment and, obviously, curtains, this place could be really nice. Catherine was away during our visit but AirBnB's Resolution Centre resolved everything smoothly.

Maureen"s suggestions are appreciated, and have been adopted. Except for changing the mid-century rattan furniture, which is in fine condition and seems appropriate for a beach-y location. i was glad to agree to Maureen's wish to leave early, and advised Airbnb immediately.

Catherine was good at communicating before and at the start of our Airbnb when we had a couple of issues. The place is as described. However there are no curtains whatsoever in the Studio Apartment, and it was very clear that people could see into the Apartment, not the best when you have no clothes on. Also we were woken up really early everyday, which in the main we don´t mind being up early, but it would have been nice to have the option of a lie in, but there was not much chance. Personally the Studio looks better in the photos, a lot of the furniture is old and looks a bit dated and tired. I think it could be a fantastic Studio Flat with a Little attention to detail. We had to put a towel up in the Bathroom to take a shower. Also for us the Internet did not work well, we ended up taking our computer to the local Repair shop, thinking that it was our laptop, but in the end, discovered it was actually the Internet in the Apartment, which is patchy at best. It would have been helpful if there had been a manual for the property. Monterey is a fantastic place and the Apartment is in a great location, no worries regarding parking either. Fishermans Wharf is a must, try the Lobster Thermidor at Crabby Jims, also award winning Clam Chowder.

Catherine's place was perfect for me and my partner. It is charming and has lovely views. You can even hear the sea lions barking at night! A lovely stay in Monterey, highly recommended.

Catherine was really great and super flexible with our wedding week requests and demands! We would have had some major trouble without her help! THANK YOU CATHERINE! We would recommend staying at her place as its super cute & extra cozy! It has a balcony, which we were unaware of from the AirBnb listing, that boasts views of the Monterey Bay. We enjoyed how secluded and quiet the place felt. There are plenty of food & beverage options close by. If you’re looking for a promising cup of coffee, Bright Cofee is a 2-block walk and really exceptional!
