NEWS! We installed fans in the 2 bedrooms and the living room to keep the house cool at all times. We also have new window frames throughout the house! The apartment is located 5 minutes from the city centre and the port, along the river that brings fresh air even in the hottest summer. Spacious and elegant, it is furnished with fine furniture and has everything from a coffee maker to wifi. Perfect for a family, group of friends or couples.

The space
The apartment has a spacious room with a small terrace and a table for 6 to 8 people. You will find an extra set of chairs hanging in the closet. The sofa is a sofa bed. The kitchen has everything you need, from a Nespresso machine to a microwave and crockery. The 2 bedrooms are spacious and share a balcony. The twin room has an extra single sofa bed. The bathrooms have both bath and shower and in the small one shower and wc has been renwed.

Guest access
You'll be able to enter the main building by calling n°7 - "scala A" on the intercom. The door of the building will be opened remotely by the owner, but only for the first access. You'll find the apartment on the 1st floor (if you use the lift, make sure you press 2 even if you're going to the 1st floor). Look for number 7 and you'll find the safe with your keys in it. Use the small door to enter. You'll be given the safe code in due course.

Other things to note
I point out that the tourist tax imposed by the City of Rapallo is to be paid separately, as it is only required for guests over 16 years of age, 2.5 euros per night. Therefore, I usually send a request for payment after knowing the age and number of guests. You can also pay in cash by leaving the amount in the house. Welcome to the apartment. Here are a few suggestions to make the most of your stay. First of all, to access the wifi, select "LACASADIVILMA" and write GIRASOLE, all in capitals.
To open the shutters, you only have to push at the bottom instead of lifting them. If you like to use the washing machine, the best programme is number 6 twice, 30 minutes plus 30 minutes. All the others are far too long. The TV is smart and already connected to the wifi, so just choose your favourite provider and log in. Remember to log out at the end of your stay.

Neighbourhood highlights

The apartment is located on the river Boate, 5 minutes from the centre and the harbour. The Basko supermarket is 3 minutes away, along the river you will find a newspaper kiosk and at the end towards the pedestrian bridge close to the harbour you can rent boats, dinghies and jet skis during the good season. The local market is held on Thursday mornings and is always towards the harbour. The central street is called Via Mazzini and is lined with shops, delicatessens and bookshops. The other interesting street is Via Mameli. The best focaccia is from Tossini near the church. Try the traditional focaccia, but also the onion and cheese focaccia that are really typical of this area called Tigullio Coast. There are many restaurants in and around Rapallo. There are the hostaria in via Cairoli, the Tigullio and Ariston baths, which are also open for dinner in the summer, and the restaurants in Pozzo square. The best ice cream shops are Carapina, also in Cairoli street, and Frigidarium, towards the castle. I like aperitifs at the Saline or at the Castello, where you can reserve a table right by the sea. Pharmacies are everywhere, as are pizzerias. Vesuvio makes pizza for celiacs, and the delicatessen "La Casana" has a completely gluten-free shop. The best bars for breakfast are Torrefazione, in Mazzini Street, and Centrale, in Piazza Duomo.
