This very quiet ensuite is a large room with a private entrance and bath. It's close to town, but it feels like country. We are 10 min. to downtown, the Biltmore, and restaurants in W. Asheville with easy access to I40. The setting is peaceful and private; you will wake up to the sound of birds. Wifi, Roku TV, mini fridge, microwave, tea kettle, bistro table and other amenities are here to make your stay comfortable. And guests totally love our bed! Licensed by the city.

The space

This large ensuite room with a private entrance and bath is located at the rear of the house accessible by a lighted walkway from the parking space. This space is very private and quiet with an outside porch. The comfortable Sleigh style queen size bed has a new mattress and organic cotton sheets. The room is equipped with a Roku smart TV and cable. There are many windows and lots of light in winter with shade in the summer. The room has a ceiling fan, window AC in summer, and different options for space heaters so everyone can decide how warm they want the room (in addition to the central heating). There is a microwave, an electric kettle, coffee maker, water filter and a small refrigerator in the room as well. Wifi is also available. The spacious closet has plenty of room for your clothes.

Guest access

The large lot is available to guests and there is a fire pit with lots of wood. There is also plenty of shade in the summer months to sit out and enjoy the day. The neighborhood is wonderful for walking.

Interaction with guests

I work part time but am looking forward to welcoming you to Asheville and helping make your stay comfortable. I have lived here 10 years myself and explored the area and have lots of tips to share. I have stayed at Air BnB in Australia and New Zealand and found the experience so enjoyable that I came back determined to do this at my own house. I have always enjoyed traveling both here and abroad myself and look forward to welcoming other travelers.

Other things to note

There are always interesting things to do in Asheville any time of the year. When the main holidays are over, the town is still a great place to explore and the Biltmore is a local treasure all year long. Several breweries have recently opened in the area. Getting to events, downtown shops and restaurants here is still easy. And people like looking through the many antique stores and shops all year long. We were beyond happy with our 3 day stay at Renee's lovely home. The location was ideal. Minutes from downtown Asheville, amazing restaurants & breweries, and gorgeous hiking trails. We immediately felt welcomed by Renee. She communicated with us and made sure we arrived safely. The private room was spacious, extremely clean, and stocked with anything you could possibly need and more! She even had delicious baked goods left for us on the cute cafe table:) Oh, and the bed was soooo comfortable! We were fortunate enough to meet our gracious hostess, who made sure we were happy and had everything we needed. We love coming to Asheville and Renee's peaceful retreat was exactly what we needed. I highly recommend this listing to any traveler or couple looking for a relaxing and cozy stay in a gorgeous neighborhood. Thank you, Renee, for your wonderful hospitality. We hope to have the opportunity to stay with you in the future. Warm regards, Jessa & Sean

Very clean and comfortable. Renee was very nice and responsive by text, but we gave us plenty of space. The room was very private and quiet. Only about 10 minutes from downtown. It was a great place to stay to explore Asheville.

The location is quietly tucked in a wooded area and was so quiet and still. It was nice to have our own space in the house, complete with an individual entrance. She left brownies on the first night and we knew we'd love staying there!

Renee's ensuite is a cozy stay close to everything in town. Even with taking care of an injury, Renee made sure we had a nice welcome and was very receptive to our needs. The room was clean and had all the basics that you would find in a hotel room. We were very happy with the stay!

Renee's guest room was exceptionally quiet, private, convenient, clean and had anything you would possibly need, from toiletries to a refrigerator, microwave, filtered water and paper plates. Also delicious brownies. I recommend it highly.

This place was great for a weekend getaway. Getting downtown, or to any other destination was easily accessible for us by taking a short Uber ride. Renee had brownies upon arrival, and made sure we had everything we needed along with great food recommendations. I couldn't have asked for anything more during my first Airbnb experience.

Hi! I grew up in Oregon and have lived in the SF Bay Area and in NM as well. I am currently semi retired from working in schools here in Asheville as a clinical mental health therapist with children and families. I love traveling and have managed to travel extensively. My most recent adventures were in Australia and New Zealand. I also like reading, cooking, entertaining, and experiencing nature in all forms and places. I like to connect with people when and wherever I travel, to experience the cultures up close, and have stayed in Airbnb in my travels. I like the personal touch that comes with Airbnb and decided to try this myself. I love the diversity we have in the world and still have friends all over the world.
