We (a group of 6) stayed at Helen's whilst attending a friend's function on nearby Yeaton. Helen was extremely accomodating from the start, arranging pick up/ drop of keys to suit our arrival time (which we changed last minute, meaning she was unable to meet us in person) and even leaving us a few breakfast bits in the fridge. She also kindly allowed us to check out late, so we were able to enjoy a laid back brunch and relax together in the gorgeous garden today, before heading off. Helen really did bend over backwards to make our weekend as simple and enjoyable as possible! The house itself is lovely - much more spacious than I was expecting, with a very homely atmosphere. There was plenty of room for the six of us and the setting was lovely - despite being by a fairly main road the FANTASTIC views make you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. Just stunning. The little terrace at the back is a real sun trap too. My only regret of the whole weekend is that we didn't get to spend more time there!!

We stayed at Olivet due to its relatively close proximity to Pimhill Barn, where we were attending a family wedding, and decided to book the whole week, rather than just a few nights, so we could relax after the big event! The bungalow is very homely and the living room has glorious views over the pretty Shropshire countryside. We even lit the log burner one night, despite it being June, just because we could! The back paved garden area is quite a sun trap and sheltered from the wind. The super king size bed in the master bedroom was great, very comfortable. Helen was in regular communication to make sure we had everything we needed. Thanks very much for an enjoyable stay.

Comfortable beds, bungalow as described, true to photos, good communications and accommodated us at the last minute. Very easy check in/ out. Could be cleaner but booked just day before so possibly time issue.

Great location and really spacious property with the most comfortable beds. The House is within a short walk of the centre of the Village which contains a great pub and local shop.

Olivet is a lovely property and deceptively spacious inside, the children (and adults) had plenty of room to play in the front room and the views from the front are lovely! The bedrooms are big and the beds incredibly comfortable. Each kitted out with some of the largest fluffy towels I've seen. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you might need and the oven is awesome! The checking in process was relaxed and much needed with some of us getting stuck in traffic when travelling from a far. The Red Lion is a great local pub with friendly staff, real good food and beer, and catered well for the little ones. Enjoyed a walk at Nescliffe Hill Country Park Walk on New Years Eve, certainly worth a visit.

My name is Helen and I live with my partner Delme in the lovely town of Shrewsbury.
I am a self employed cleaner and caretaker. Although most of my working life has been in the equestrian world.
I am a mother of 3 and a grandma to 7.
I have my Mum, brothers, sister and several nephews and nieces.
I was born and brought up in Bolton in the north of England and had a perfectly wonderful childhood with memories of riding ponies, long walks with dad, teatime with all the family, holidays in Abersoch. Very happy days!
My loves are family, our horses and cats (16 Andalusian horses, 12 cats)..adorable.
I like reading, knitting and good conversation.
Delme bought Olivet this summer and we now have it ready for you to enjoy.
I am your host, and I am looking forward to your stay and any comments you have, good or bad. (Hoping for the former) And any improvements you may suggest.
See you soon
Helen
