The space
Located inside the secure Paddington community, our minimal-style city pad spreads into three levels. We have equipped it as the same as our own home. Hope that you like it too!
Kitchen
On the ground floor, you can enjoy preparing your meals in the compact but fully-equipped kitchen with an oven, electric cooktop, microwave oven, built-in refrigerator, toaster, sandwich maker, and dishwasher. We've got the full set of cookware, cutleries, dining sets, drinkware, and wine glasses. All common seasonings and spices are supplied with a multi choice of tea and capsule coffee. Yes, you can enjoy your smoothies using the Nutribullet as well.
Laundry
Also on the ground floor with a wash/dryer. The portable clothes rack, iron, and iron board are stored in the laundry cabinet too.
Lounge/Dining
Enjoy the 50inch Samsung Frame Smart TV.
Backyard
Enjoy the rare backyard in the middle of the city with an outdoor dining/sofa set under louvre-roof pergola.
Bedrooms
The main bedroom is on the third floor with a balcony looking into the garden of the next-door complex. There is a desk at the corner of the main bedroom for you to set up your PC/workstation or use it as a dressing table. You can also enjoy your Netflix in bed with the second 50 inches Samsung Frame Smart TV in this room.
Office/Study
A separate office is located on the second level with a height-adjustable workstation and a monitor for your convenience.
We can set up portable cot for one kid under 85cm in height in this office. It comes with portable change table too. Please let us know in advance if you would like us to set it up for you.
The main bedroom on the third floor has a desk and chair which can be used as the second workspace too.
Bathroom and Toilets
Ensuite - A beautiful full-size bath, shower, his/her vanity basins, and toilet for the main bedroom.
The second bathroom with shower box is on the second floor serving the second bedroom and formal study.
A guest toilet on the ground floor adds convenience.
Second bedroom is on level 2 - the same level as the seperate office.
Sofa bed in lounge serves as the third bed.
All our linens are professionally cleaned and ironed.
We provide choices of form, medium and soft anti-allergy pillows.
Carpark
There is no carpark on-site for the entire complex. We have secured a 24/7 camera-supervised, uncovered carpark space within approximately 100 meters from our unit. The carpark is approximately 2.5m in width and 5m in length. Please take this measurement and check the photo to see if your car fits.
Guest access
Security Fob is required to enter the Paddington Complex through any of the three entrances. Entrance A is on Taranaki Street and Entrance B and C are on Jessie Street. Key is required to open the front door of our unit.
48 hours prior to arrival, Guests will be able to access the step by step instruction under the trip- Checking in - how to get inside on where to drive to, how to get to the key safe , how to obtain carpark permit card , key and security fob from the key safe and hoe to pass the entrance and finally find out unit
Other things to note
Beds arrangement:
Our default setting is two queen sized bed in the two bedrooms. For the 5th and 6th guest, we’d set up the sofa bed.
Please let us know if you prefer alternatives in advance.
For a three or four-guest group that requires the sofa bed to be set up as well as the other two bedrooms, an additional linen and cleaning fee of $30 will be charged per stay.
Stairs:
This is a compact townshouse in central Wellignton so we do have 39 strairs in total. the height of each stair from groud to Level 2 is approximately 18cm; and from leval 2 to level 3 is 20cm. We have included a photo to show the main part of the stairs.
Some people, especially elderlies or toddlers) might find the stairs a bit steep in which case we can set the sofabed on the ground level for you instead of using the bedroom upstairs. Note that the shower is on second floor while there is toilet and vanity on the ground floor. Please refer to the photos and let us know in advance.
Kids:
Airbnb only provides two categories for kids: under 2 or 2-11 years old. We don't think our place is quite suitable for 1-5s due to the lack of safety gates ( not practical to install) along the stairs or safety locks on ovens, drawers, slide doors, etc.
We do provide a portable cot but please consider it carefully. We recommend that you keep an eye on the little ones ALL the time during the stay.
For reference we had not received any issue when hosting kids including three under 5 year olds with their parents.
No Party at all times:
It is one of the townhouses in an inner city complex, the property is not suitable for gatherings or parties or playing music on high volume speaker. Thank you for your understanding.
Checkout time
Checkout time is 10am strict unless previously (at least 24 hours in advance) arranged otherwise. That includes vacant both the house and carpark. Our cleaners run a very tight schedule. We will be charged, therefore have to pass on the cost to guests, for the time the cleaner have to wait. Less than 30min after 10am will be charged at $25; delay between 30-60 mins will be charged at $60. Up to 2 hours will be $120 and more than 2 hours delay will be charged at full day’s fee.
Parking provided:
There is no on-site parking available for the entire complex. For your convenience, we have organised an uncovered car park almost next to the complex (50meters to the entrance of the complex and another 25meters to our door).
There is 24/7 security camera covering the car park but we still recommend that you don't leave anything valuable in the car and ensure the car is locked.
A parking permit must be displayed on your dashboard at all times otherwise your car will be towed or clamped.
The car park instructions, including how to obtain the parking permit, will be provided as part of your check-in instructions which will be available to you prior to your trip.
If you prefer a more secured /undercover car park or require a second carpark, please search "Taranaki Street Parking" - it is across the road and about 100 meters away from the entrance A on Taranaki Street with reasonable pricing.
Consumables
We provide a lot more consumables than normal BnBs would provide such as ample amount of coffee capsules, variety of teas, full range of cooking ingredients including rice and flours, paper towels, washing powder and fabric softener, etc. to make your stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. They are free of charge in the sense of “free to consume/use while you stay with us” instead of “ free to take them all when check out”. Thank you very much for applying the common sense and considering our next guest.
