This wonderfully bright and spacious flat is situated in a vibrant part of Edinburgh - only a short walk from Princes Street with its great selection of bars, restaurants and shops. Calton Hill is very close by, worth the climb for the beautiful panoramic views of Edinburgh!

The space

The Space:

Charming and huge 1 bed apartment with quaint features throughout giving a truly 'home away from home' Airbnb feel. With magnificent 10 ft high ceilings, all the rooms are bright and airy. The bedroom is very quiet, ideal for a good nights sleep. The stylish kitchen is fully equipped with a stunning view. This flat is a typical late Victorian, Edinburgh tenement, situated on a on a broad, tree-lined street giving it a peaceful atmosphere despite the proximity to the city centre.

The flat is my home and has lots of pictures and art on the walls. I also have a lot of books, which guests are welcome to borrow!

There's a small park at the bottom of the street and some great local cafes nearby.

Guest access

Guests will have access to the entire property during their stay.

Interaction with guests

Edinburgh is amazing. You may never want to leave the city. If you do however, we can put you in touch with both golf & touring companies should you wish to visit eg St Andrews, Muirfield, Gullane, Stirling Castle, whisky distillery tours etc.

Other things to note

The flat is not suitable for guests with mobility issues because there is not a lift.

The property is professionally cleaned and the linen and towels of the highest hotel quality will be provided.

All guests are also privileged to use my membership to the 'Scottish Malt Whisky Society', which contains the finest Whisky bar and place to buy whisky in Edinburgh... no questions asked. You will also receive a free dram of whisky!

Michael's apartment was the perfect choice for our stay in Edinburgh. The neighbourhood is full of fantastic restaurants and bars (almost too many, so we were really happy that Michael had some great recommendations!) The main sights of Edinburgh (Palace, Old Town, Castle) are a pleasant 15 to 30 Minute walk away. The apartment itself was clean, spacious and lovingly decorated. Michael welcomed us in person and showed us around, which is always nice. I'd definitely stay there again!

Michael's flat was lovely. It's located on the Hillside Crescent (which is just behind Calton Hill), so it's about a 20 minute walk to Old Town, but it's a nice walk. The area is quiet and residential, which was nice because we were in town during Hogmanay. The flat itself was very clean, well decorated, and well stocked with DVDs and a great book collection! It was very spacious as well, and was just all around very comfortable. We had a great stay, and we would absolutely book again.

The neighbourhood felt safe at all times. The apartment was spacious and bright. We especially enjoyed sitting by the fire in the living room watching a DVD after a long day of walking.

I would recommend Michael's place to anyone; it is a lovely quiet flat in a good location. There are lots of interesting shops nearby and especially Cafe Renroc just around the corner which is great for breakfast. The flat was spotlessly clean. A great Airbnb experience!

Absolutely incredible flat, good location (the city centre is about 10-15 mins walk away), with all kinds of little extras that made it an even more enjoyable stay. Micheal was very quick to answer any questions and all the instructions were very clear and precise. I'd definitely recommend his apartment for a fun weekend away or even a good week of exploring.
